Here's at least one Burn supporter stuck at work. One can get the most rudimentary of updates from mlsnet.com (ie, who scores and when). I'll probably sneak into a conference room with cable tv and close the door for the last 20 or 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I hate to see the Burn knock DC out. They're sort of my second team and their fans certainly deserve better than the crap that's been on the field the past few years.
Hey, we knocked ourselves out, so don't feel bad. But then again, the game isn't over yet. So I won't feel bad either.....yet. 1-0 at halftime greuling 45' coming up
Thanks for the updates guys. Is there a decent crowd at the game? How's the play on the field and the ref, Sullivan, is he doing a decent job?
Probably 17,000 or so. You always get the constant drumbeats. 90 minutes like nowhere else. Ed Johnson came on after the go-ahead goal by DC. DC kicking it around. Convey off to Namoff, stolen by Rhine, O'Brien down the right side, knocked off by Prideaux. DC ball. 78th min
Overtime jack. 3-3 What would you do if we qualify for the playoffs? I might have to worry. But that's only if we make it.
Wow. End of Regulation - United 3 : 3 Dallas Scoring: DAL - Rodriguez (PK) 34 DC - Convey (Quintanilla) 48 DC - Zambrano (Olsen, Quintanilla) 65 DAL - Martinez (Deering, Johnson) 74 DAL - Rhine (Vaca) 80 DC - Curtis (Etcheverry, Villegas) 92+
Dallas kills it in the second overtime with a Johnson goal. 4-3 Burn. Hats off to DCU for the fight though. DC is quickly becoming the team of "next season" every season.
Great game by Dallas. Y'all have soooooo many offensive weapons, it's sickening. Good luck in the playoffs. RS
