I've been away from the game for about 5-6 years and just started playing again (I'm 34). Even though I stretch (obviously not enough) my hamstring is killing me for about 1-2 days after the match. What is the best way to get the hammies ready for 90 minutes ( ok, maybe 60)???????
Is it just your hamstrings or the glutes too. If just the hamstrings do some leg curls. I would guess the all around back of the legs kill. Throw in some lunges and squats too. I would recomend 3 sets of 20 reps, but that's just my opinion.
