I don't see this match on my guide. Is it being broadcast? All the other matches are there but I thought all the matches were broadcast on the shootout this weekend. Also, does anyone have a good number for DirectTV? I'd like to call them but the only numbers I have lead to a phone tree. That's not really much use. Thanks for any info and help you might offer.
Knave, you just made me panic, too, as I was/am really looking forward to this match. My channel guide for Direct TV in South Carolina does not show the match, and only the L.A./S.J. derby is listed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't MLS take care of this matter, and all Direct TV, In Demand, etc., will still be showing MLS games? Also, I have noticed that MLS games have been shown on Direct TV channels even when the channel guide has said otherwise (off the air, other programming), so keep your hopes up. No further contact info, sorry.
Not that this helps you for Directv, but it was listed on the Indemand schedule delayed at like 11pm I think -- so I'm assuming it's on the shootout. I couldn't find Dallas New England, so I'm thinking not every game is on.
Yeah - I'm going to tape the MSG broadcast that doesn't conflict with another shootout game (its running at least 3 times tonight) - but I did have it listed on Shootout as well - (the shootout game doesn't get blocked out or anything) before the schedules went away. Are you getting the revs game?
I got through to DircecTV now and spoke to them for some time. I have no idea why the match wasn't listed. I checked the online guide while on hold and saw the match listed on channel 795. Then I looked at the guide on my TV and saw that channel 795 wasn't being listed at all. I explained this to them and asked why there was a discrepancy. They claimed not to know why and then they had me reset my receivers. That seems to have fixed the problem because now the match shows. Whether the problem was on my end or their end is unclear though. Ubiquitous One - are you on DirecTV? If you are then your experience suggests that the problem might not have been local to me. ... all that said ... crisis (seemingly) averted. But like every week I don't believe it till I see it on my TV.
I have DirecTV in Silicon Valley and the channel 220 online guide now shows that all five MLS games will be carried tonight on channels 794 to 798.
The MLS Shootout is through DirecTV via one's digital cable tier, is it not? I may have had my lexicon mixed in this regard. Anyway, I called my Time Warner, as Knave suggested, and they thought that I should be getting the game. However, the game, according to the one MLS Shootout channel that is not showing college football (ahem), is on at 11 tonight. So, please, no spoilers tonight after the original broadcast
Tonight up 21:45 I saw DC/NY and Crew/Fire,one on local FOX and the other one on Shootout. The S/O should have two more games on later tonight.
Actually the DTV shootout has all 5 games live. Unitl CLB/CHI and DCU/MET ended I was switching between four games. Now I'm down to two. Then there's a 30 minute break before the west coast game.
