    Dear soccerfans,

Most likely, most of you grew up with a club you liked. Either because your friends liked it, because you grew up near the club's home base, or maybe because your dad was a fan. Anyhow: you somehow have a connection to the club you support.

Now consider this: in my family, soccer was accepted, but never celebrated (meaning that we watched stuff like the World Cup and the Champions League final, but not much else). I never met my dad until I was much older (different story) so no connections there. I grew up in the Netherlands, near Utrecht and played soccer when I was little.

I then moved on to different things and didn't really get back into soccer until I was 25/26 years old. First from playing FIFA (hehe) and then I started playing indoor and really got into it.

Now naturally I support the Dutch national squad. Even when we suck, they're my team. But I would like to extend that feeling to a club. I could support FC Utrecht, since geographically I'm connected to them: however, when I was in high school, all the jocks and other self-righteous ar$es supported that club. Not going there.

So yeah, I'm a soccer fan without a club and that won't do. Who would like to convince me that their club is the best for me?

This is what I'm looking for:

    - Friendly atmosphere
    - Sportsmanship, not just on the friend but especially amongst the supporters
    - A city I could live (anywhere around the world, I don't mind where)
    - Any league is fine
    - Team doesn't have to be A-level. As long as they feel right.
    - Preferably an attacking style of football
    - Pretty jerseys would be a plus, too ;)

So who can help me out? THANKS!

As you can see from my avatar, I'm a VDV fan. So obviously Tottenham's sprung to mind. And you're saying they place technical football, not English?
