I got all of your names when we were watching the USA-Haiti match on HDTV. I just now have gotten home an am able to post. Hope for some interesting discussions and possible hook-up to sit in the same section for future matches.

Move his post over to the Galaxy forum, DK (or the Mod for this forum)....even though Chromeknee is admitedly not a Galaxy fan. The names he mentions are all Galaxy fans who told him to check into BS. Chromeknee is a bigtime US Nats follower who has logged more miles than most to attend games here and abroad, so that is probably why he posted here.

I guess so. I met these members earlier and was encouraged to join BigSoccer by them, and so I did. Just wanted to let them know I finally had arrived.

    By the way...

Welcome aboard Chromeknee (interested to learn how you came up with your username). I seem to recall us trying to drum one up for you back at KEGS.

If you remember me saying that next week (the week following the Haiti match) I will have knee replacement surgery, thus the "Chromeknee" name.

I do not remember that, but I hope that the surgery went well. The rest of the gang will be by eventually. Have fun on BS...you may want to go 'visit' your club team's forum, though I dare not mention the name for fear of arousing the ire of my fellow Galaxy fans. Again, welcome aboard!

    Welcome to BS (pun intended)!

There really is no other team in MLS that matters, so feel free to stay awhile.

Too bad you weren't around here following the most recent USA-Mex match. It's always amusing discussing with Tri fans how amazingly lucky the USNT is, ya know?

Surgery went well and I am grinding out the rehab. Should be fine in a couple of months. Thanks.

The US was lucky? I thought the Mexicans were lucky that we didn't score at least a couple of times earlier in the match. I thought we played better than the Mexicans and deserved to win, although I have to agree that the play that decided the outcome was a lucky one.

Yo, Chromeknee, what's up? Good to hear that the surgery went well & finally finding your way to BS. US-MEX in Dallas was a hella awesome match, except that my tape cut out at about the 92nd minute and thus missing the last second goal.

Hey rokstedy, Thanks. I should be OK in a couple of months; the rehab is going fine, but not much fun. Hope to go to some WC qualifiers, especially if they are at the Home Depot Center. Would be great to sit with the group. Talk to you later.

Better late than never! Hey pal, welcome to the boards. I'm sure we'll be sorting out some place to meet for the Honduras match on June 2nd (did I get that date right?). By the way, the USA kicked serious butt against the Mexicans and there's no other way to look at it. Hell of a game. Hope your girlfriend taped it for you CL...

She did tape it for me. Unfortunately, what happened to rok was what happened to me, probably down to the same minute. We still have yet to see the goal!!!

Look, Chromedome, it's called sarcsasm!! Now get your Earthquack ass outa here! :D

Hey, I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Anyone who travels to Guadelajara (sister-city of Falluja) -- for Olympic qualifying is alright in my book, even if your MLS allegiance is woefully misguided. ;)

Hanley & rok, if you would like to borrow my tape, PM me. Mine cut out just AFTER the goal. :D

This is off-topic, but does anyone have video from the last game where Suarez creamed Twellman?

Thanks. I saw the Mexico match and I agree that we had the better of the play. Hope to see some of you guys at the up-coming matches.

As I mentioned in another of my posts, the Galaxy is my second favorite team. And its "Chromeknee" not "Chromedome" (Not yet, anyway).

Chromeknee, I think cl_hanley was calling GRUNT a bastard for having the US-MEX match on tape that showed the goal.

You may be a Quakes fan (I'm sorry ;)) but as long as you discuss objectively, we shouldn't have too big a problem.

I am still having difficulty in determining the reply to a specific post. Maybe you can give me a clue. If, in fact, cl_hanley did say that, it was taken very lightly, as you can see by my reply. I saw the Galaxy match on Saturday and thought the Galaxy did well in getting the monkey off their back for away wins. I think winning away has to do with mental toughness and they sure showed that on Saturday, going a goal down and coming back to win. That goal by "el pescadito" was quite impressive.

Yeah...I was calling GRUNT a 'bastard' for pointing out that his tape cut off just AFTER the goal, while mine and rok's cut out literally 40 to 60 seconds BEFORE the goal. We watched that brilliant game with all those "Oohhhh! So close!!!" moments and then our tapes die just moments before the actual goal after 92+ minutes of play.

You'll get more familiar with the boards as you use them. All replies obviously are not necessarily reponses to the original topic. Oh...and...just remember that the cl_hanley that posts on the Quake / Rivalry boards is my evil twin. I am in no way responsible for his actions.

By the way, thanks GRUNT for the offer...I'm hoping someone will just post the goal clip someday.
