    Yes, yes, yes! :D

I meant the A-Leauges, im sorry..

I have been the Canada, its nice country!! Might come in the summer there too!!!!

All i got as a souvenir from my family in Canada is the Canadian National Team hockey jersey! Very nice too!!!

In israel, we only got one place to play golf! But its good!!

What do Canadians normally do in the cold with soccer?

Well in Vancouver Canada, we play it all year round as it's not cold here!

I'd also say that the chances of Toronto getting MLS (and supporting it) are about the same as Western Canadians deciding who becomes Prime Minister.

I think Canada should get an MLS leauge..

It will help Canada in the soccer standing! I was there, i saw how hopeless it was. Ask the man for a Football game, and he turns to the CFL!! :yuck:

and all you got is curling! Curling Curling Curling?!?!?

3 stooges should be, Larry, Curling, a moe!!!!!
    How can u guys survive?

    MLS will help!
Toronto blue jays play in a american type leauge, so do Maple leaves and Raptors...

What will be the name of the new Toronto team?

    Toronto Flyers?

    Kappa,

How exactly does someone in Israel become an 'avid Canadian football fan'?

We have trouble enough attracting 'avid fans' here.

    Anyho.....

If you would like to see where the true Canadian football die-hards go try this site.

    http://www.canadian-soccer.com

Follow the links to the fan forum.

Ps – if you watch curling long enough it actually – and strangely – grows on you.

    Hurrrrrrryyyyyyyyy

Curling needs fights. However just because i'm not interested in it I'm not going to trash it. What bugs me is coverage of crap like WWE and other rubbish that takes up space on our sports networks instead of coverage of soccer.

The team nickname is still a long way off from being chosen, as the existence of the MLS team itself is still a long way off. If it happens, I doubt the team will be called the "Flyers" - that name is too associated with a certain hockey team in Philadelphia to be used for the soccer team.

If you had to guess at this stage, one could to worse than "Blizzard" - that was the name of the last pro-soccer team in Toronto to be considered "high-profile", and there are still many, many people in the city who are unaware that there have been other pro soccer teams in Toronto since the days of the NASL Blizzard.

The MLS gets very little coverage up here. The most one might get is the 3 games shown by ABC. If one has a "grey market" dish, then they might get more.

Canada put a bid in 1986 only to get rejected.

Canada doesn't have the stadia for a World Cup bid. They are building a new stadium in Toronto, but one swallow doesn't make a Summer.

They aren't even building a new stadium in Toronto yet. Everything is talk.

    Kappa,

As mentioned above, concrete plans have not been laid out. However, a downtown location is preferred. The CNE grounds might make the most sense (location of the former exhibition stadium -- home of the Blue Jays, Argos and for a time the NASL Blizzards).

    A hunch....

You won't hear anything until the 2010 Winter Olympics are awarded. If Vancouver doesn't get the bid, it is likely Toronto will bid for 2012 and the stadium will be part of that plan.

Maybe he is... however, all I see is someone asking a question. If the poster derives humour from my response...so be it.
