Back in the days when fans of a sports team were actual fans (read: dummies) who wanted to see their team do well and advance in knockout competitions (so lame) so that they could see their team play more and try to win trophies, losing to Minnesota and getting eliminated at home would have been thought of as a bad thing. But now since fans are learned amateur General Managers with keyboards for appendages, we all know that we will be WELL RESTED for this one, the one true and important game on our schedule (a regular season home game!) and are thus, bound to win.
Hey @chr1st, Thanks for being the bestest. I would put this message in a private conversation, but I am too tired to find that convo.
It’s been so long since our last game in the league, one might almost forget that Nancy won’t be available.
So what are the rules for something like this? Is he allowed to watch the game and call the assistant mid-match?
Well, I could tell you the answer, of course. But I think you would learn more by looking it up yourself.
He's not allowed to interact with the team from 90 minutes before kick until the final whistle. That extends to contact with the on-field coaches as well as the players.
You must have worked for me. It's my biggest mantra with young staff. I tell them day 1 - I could give you all the answers but I won't. I'll direct you to where to find the answer and then you can verify it with me. Give a man a fish or teach a man to fish? Which one has the biggest long term impact?
Amateur General Manager here using my keyboard appendage to suggest that there will probably be a handful of regular season games more important than this one between now and the end of the season as the Crew fights for playoff position. Getting a point or 3 here will be nice, and maybe give us some breathing room in those more important games to come. This is a chance to measure ourselves against MLS's best, and potentially use it as a springboard for the rest of the league competition. I'm excited MLS is back. It's been dreary forgettable month. Let's see how our new toys platy. Onward Columbus Crew.
Build a man a fire, he stays warm for a night. Teach him to build a fire, he can stay warm every night. Set him on fire, and he'll never complain about being cold again.
is he allowed to sit in the sands with a fake moustache and glasses and pass messages to the team through walkie talkie
If Crew Cat acts different or hangs around the bench too much, we'll know why. In other words, I echo the previous idea.
I wonder whatever happened to the original Crew Cat getup. I'm sure they tossed it years ago. (Hint: The one photographed isn't it.)
