    Hege Riise Update

I just got a nice e-mail from Hege Riise letting me know that she has taken a new job as the assistant coach of Norway's U-19 team and that the team will be having their first training camp this weekend. Hege will also be playing at least one more season in Norway for the club Team Strømmen and she let me know that she still has room in her trophy case for at least one more "Toppserien" medal. :)

    SV: Hege Riise Update

Here is a link to the first Norwegian article I have seen about Hege Riise's new position as assistant coach of Norway's U-19 squad
(IMO it is worth looking at the article just to see the nice picture of Hege in her Norwegian National Team uniform. :) ):

"Tusen takk" (1,000 thanks) Hege for giving me the news about her new job a day before it was even mentioned in the Norwegian media.

I regret that I'll likely never see Hege play again at full speed. Watching her limping around in the WWC is not the way I'll choose to remember her playing.
