Both good signings all the same. Healy is excellent and is being tracked by premiership clubs and Connolly is a proven first divison striker (24 in 28 for a mid table side can't be ignored).

No doubt, neither is a bad signing for Sunderland, Healy esp as he is free.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Gary Breen will end up there too.
So next season we could a Sunderland team with Breen and Babb at the back....
McAteer - Healy - Thonton - Kilbane... in the centre, and Connolly up front, with big Mick on the sideline........... all that would be left would be to change their colours to green and white stripes.

Babbsy was released, but I'm sure they've some reserves somewhere, there's that Ryan fella who broke into the side late in the season, the 17 year old too.

Ahh, shite. I have nothing against Sunderland, but I really want to see Healy get a shot in the Premiership

Leeds and Everton were sniffing around and that was before his fantastic display on wednesday, so there should be competition. Best bosman going if you ask me.

Healy would be excellent for Sunderland, but I can't see him settling for division one...

as a fan, its Butler and Thornton that give the most hope..I think Rossiter has a long-term injury...

I would hate to see lots of Irish players with Sunderland. It would be bad for them playing under Mick. He is a crap manager and It would be detrimental to their careers and He would probably turn them against Kerr.

I would like Healy to play for any club apart from Sunderland. He would be a good replacement for Gravesen at Everton. I hope lee carsley put in a good word for him.

According to Healys agent, O'Leary has already started talks, after Everton tried to sign him and Leeds known interest I'd be very suprised to see him at Sunderland.

Why, praytell? Illuminate me with the evidence which I'm sure you've gathered to back your claim. Unless you're talking shite.

    just expressing an opinion..
mcCarthy will not like to see kerr succeed. because he is a plonker (mccarthy)..therefore he probably wouldn't release his players either..

i never liked mccarthy as a manager.. he was stubborn..never picked the right team and was tactically naive and stayed loyal to players even when they clearly lost form (harte,kilbane)..kerr picks on form..(yes kilbane's form has improved)

Piling shite on top of shite only makes more of it.

It does produce an impressively large amount of it though.

Forget what that joker (Shay) is saying about McCarthy and Sunderland, is there any news on Healy's destination? What age is he now - 23, 24-ish? Jesus, I just want to see Healy playing in the Premiership regularly. I couldn't give a rat's ass what side he plays for, as long as he's playing regularly.

I see Healy's agent, the ever-reticent Mel Stein, has said that he (Healy, not Mel) is the "new Roy Keane".

    No pressure so.

Excuse the ignorance if it is there, but is HEaly not more of an offensive mid? (granted, in his early days, Roy was box-to-box, but became a more defensive player after the ACL injury)

Gosh! I never knew you had to be an ass#ole to be on this list?

All we need now is Roy Keane.

Oh, please, please, please let us back into your Shite-cool asshole club.

We promise we'll be good; we promise we'll try harder and if you don't let us back in, then the only word we can even think to say is...........GOSH!

(And sorry for the calling things as we see them; that won't happen again either, unless, of course, it coincides with the way you see them. But please let us back into your club, huh?)

It's amazing how these topics always end up so far off the first post. This was originally about Healy going to Sunderland & ends up talking about 'shite'..Boredom I suppose!!
