What everyone seems to be saying (and yay I came to the same conclusion) is that Almunia can't be faulted for the one goal he's allowed. I'm just saying that he's only made one really challenging save in two games.

I wish that showed our defense to be very good, but we really weren't tested against Blackpool because of the red card.

Saw this tweet a few minutes ago: Squillaci: Medical passed, photo session later - £2.5m down-payment and £2.5m over next 2 years, £1.5m extra based on appearances. Deal.

Seems like good business. I'm wondering why the deal was structured that way -- were we really that short of cash that we couldn't pay it all up front, or did Sevilla want to spread it out so that they could theoretically make a bit more on the deal?

Payments for most deals are spread out.

I agree. 5-6 million pounds for an experienced CB is good business...especially if it is spread out over three years.

I was kind of hoping to start this thread. I was going to call it "Whine whine whine, bitch bitch bitch - The Transfer Thread."

I like this Squillaci deal. Fills a need, player seems excited to come, and fits our budget.

Now get us a keeper and this window will be a success.

The only question is will the official website get to it before the close of the transfer window.

They're too busy on the latest "Transfer Linked!" revision to be bothered at the moment.

According to Arseblog, it's a question of supply and demand.

For some reason i just feel we need to let Cesc go, i know it's not going happen and he stuck with us.....but i dont know im just weary about players that wanna be somewhere else.

Im sure it wont affect us in 90% of games but i know myself there was time i was stuck at my club which was a very low level compared to another team i wanted to play for......most of the time it wasnt nothing but there was times when we were losing i just didnt have no fight for the cause, i didnt wanna dig deep.

But then again thats the probably the reason Cesc is pro and im semi-pro!

Let's just hope he takes care of the routine stuff and we don't allow shots like N'Gogs to often.

Sorry. We kept our best player. Somehow, you're going to have to figure out a way to get over it.
