I don't know if this topic has been raised previously, but I am a little concerned about the conditions of the field at the HDC. I noticed first on Saturday on HDNet. The HD really highlighted the terrible conditions during the Chivas/LA game. It seemed like at every slide tackle or pivot in the action, a chunk of the field would be exposed. The field looked even worse last night against Real. It seems like the field is unable to handle the workload of 2 MLS teams, Godl Cup, and International firendlies. I know DCU is used to terrible conditions on the field, but with the current injury bug, I hope everyone on DCU is aware and takes precautions. I am sure just about all of them were watching the game last night. Did anyone else notice this? It was tough to focus on anything other than Zidane.
I'm sure all the heavy lifting schedule wise has taken its toll on the field, and what are you talking about, baseball has only improved conditions at RFK.
So, the field was bad, HDC grass has always been horrible, no news there - who won the game, how did each team play?
Looks like the groundcrew is struggling to keep up with the demand. Need more SSS to play games in around the US so HDC isn't so overused. Not that that's a new concept by any means. Once PHP is finished I envision more of the hispanic related international friendlies going there instead of LA. That should help a little IMO.
Didn't they recently have some truck and tractor pull there (or am I thinking of the X games coming up in August?) K
