Actually, it'll open tonight and tomorrow for Season Ticket holders to check out and pick up their tickets.
I was driving down the 405 the other night... I almost caused an accident gawking at the sign for the HDC with GALAXY in bright lights. My tickets for the opener should come in soon. This is almost too good.
No I'm SIL, I just don't have the letter in front of me. Just wondering if you could be a kind bastard and post the times here for those of us without letter in hand.
"Friday night 5:00-7:00pm I don't remember the exact Saturday time slot but it was early afternoon." Sat 3-7pm
I plan to be there tomorrow. In anticipation, I called my ticket rep yesterday about where, if anywhere, we will be allowed to go inside the stadium. At this point they aren't sure, it seems to be up to the construction folks. Hopefully they will open it up. Also, if you have a child's season ticket, they have not decided whether you can pay the difference at the gate for an adult. I understand they allowed it in the past and I hope they allow it this year.
15 days, 4 hours, 16 minutes, 7 seconds...er 6, 5, 4...well, you get it. I'll be picking up my tickets today & buying some gear if they have any. Can't wait!
I do hope to see a (can't believe I'm saying this) a Rapids win in the HD Center. It's only right. Agreed?
Uh, no. Not only will we win on the NTC's home opener, we're going to win the week before at your guys' place.
What's the point anymore....it doesn't mean anything....well..time to take some St. John's Wart again.
I went to the NTC to pick up my tickets today, unfortunately I did not have a camera but I can wait until June 7th. When I entered that stadium & stood in the stands, it was pretty sweet! Those who think that you're not close to the action, you must see it for yourself, but you are, at least 5 - 6 feet. I can't wait! You visitors who will make the trek, you won't be disappointed. And they have added seats to Lalas Hill. I went to the equipment sale and bought Marvin Quijano's gold training jersey (the kind I've wanted for a long time), a black windbreaker with 19 on it (Bengard's?) and a beautiful away white with 6 on it, which I'll be sending to a friend in Tenerife, Spain. All that for $90 which will go to charity. Seriously, they had everyone's jerseys, shorts, warmups from 1996 to last year. Pretty sweet; I may have to go back tomorrow to pick up the rest of the spoils.
Sounds like the stadium was impressive and the equipment sale almost as good. Did they have field markings already? When you say 5-6 feet are you saying the 1st row is only 5-6 feet from the touchlines?
Fields do not have markings yet. There still was a little construction being done around the place. And yes, I'd say from the 1st row it's about 5 - 6 feet.
Let me put it this way. From my seats I could reach out and give every player who takes a corner from the SW corner flag a nice pat on the head. The equipment sale was awesome btw. I got an Armas jersey from 1997 and a Fraser heavy warmup jacket for my dad. I couldn't believe that they actually had stuff like that on sale. Victoria St. must be seen to be believed. My family and I just sat in our seats for about 25 minutes trying to soak it all in. Two weeks and counting.
the entrance to the stands is amazing. You walk up about 30 steps (guessing), and then the pitch suddenly comes into view below as you reach the top. The stadium is beautiful, simply amazing and still seems unreal. I got a Califf warmup jacket from a year or two ago. #23 on the front.
