ABOUT CE SANT GABRIEL
C.E. Sant Gabriel is considered one of the most important clubs and development academies in Catalonia. The club was founded at the beginning of the XX century. It became an official professional team in 1960. In 1971 the club signed a partnership agreement with FC Barcelona, which has allowed several of its players to go in Barça's 1st team. Throughout its history, Sant Gabriel's Futbol Base (Youth Development Academy) has produced professionals that have played at the highest level such UEFA Champions and the Spanish National Team. They also have a strong professional women's team that is currently in the race for the Copa Catalunya against RCD Espanyol and FC Barcelona.

U.S. players Hayden Lyn Canizalez & Sandor Bustamante continue to flourish in Barcelona

"...Hayden (’98 mid-fielder) and his team Sant Gabriel finished 3rd in the standings in the 2012-13 Cadete Primera (1997/98) Division where he scored 2 goals. Hayden was invited on a trial with RCD Espanyol this past May and when the seaon ended he was also invited to an elite camp in Banyoles where he trained with players from top teams in Catalonia including FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, UD Cornella, and Jabac Terrassa. The camp was led by RCD Espanyol Cadete Coach, David Fernandez... Hayden has scored one goal so far in the season and has recently won the X Torneo de Año Nuevo XEF del RCD Espanyol, Lloret del Mar, where he scored a goal. The tournament took place January 3-5 of this year."

Hayden Lyn Canizalez to play with Hércules CF Juvenil A Pre-season in División de Honor and becomes one of only two American born players to reach this high in the highly competitive Spanish Academy System.



Hayden Lyn Canizalez will join Hércules CF de Alicante Juvenil A, División de Honor (Top Tier National Category in the Spanish Academy System) for the 2016-17 preseason after passing his trial in May. Canizalez had been playing with UE Sant Andreu in Barcelona, Spain. He briefly played with a semi-pro UPSL team in Las Vegas, NV and helped them get to playoffs.

Hayden becomes one of only two American born players to have ever reached top tier level in the highly competitive national Spanish Academy System. Hercules CF will compete in the toughest group in the Juvenil (U19) Division de Honor category, which includes Villarreal CF, Valencia CF, Levante Cf, Alicante Balompie, Atletico de Madrid, and Elche CF amongst others.

Hayden Lyn Canizalez is co-managed by Agencia Diana Blanca and World Connect 10.

It's still third division, albeit fourth tier. Union Polideportiva Plasencia plays in the 3a División, (same as Akale) Group 14. Plasencia (which sounds weird when you say it that way, now that I think of it) just hammered Arroyo 4 -0 in the Estadio Placentino (much better). Hayden seems to be training in the warm placental embrace of the first team but I have seen no mention of any minutes yet.

@Eighteen Alpha is correct, UPP is in 3rd Division; same as Akale's Villarreal team.
Hayden is currently waiting for his visa extension (ergo the lack of minutes). Nevertheless, the team president and former Albacete (LFP) Coach, Pastelero, expect Hayden to have minutes once his visa is resolved.

Just FYI Hayden Lyn Canizalez is 2 years younger than Akale.
Hayden moved up to 3rd Div National and skipped Juvenil Division de Honor (top tier academy system) after leaving Hercules CF to go to UPP.

UPP has an impressive roster with mostly higher level players (2aB types) from Deportivo Coruña, RCD Espanyol, Atlético Madrid, Cadiz, and Sevilla to name a few.

Hayden Visa/FIFA issues have been finally solved and he's playing!

His debut with the UP Plasencia's 1st team on 12/29/2016 (source HOY.es News Tercera Division Nacional de Espana )
He's also playing with the U18 squad in Division Nacional Juvenil (Source National League Game report) . And, continues to train full time with the first team.
