well my HOU tix didn't sell. And strangely, even tho I thought I repriced them at a buyer-sees price of $75, Ticketmaster sent a no-sale email that the tix had been priced at $100. I guess I have to really double-check that my price stuck, but I was in a hurry that morning. So for 2017 resale I am 6 for 9 on MLS games.
So far in 2018, we have been doing pretty well - have resold every ticket we have listed— about 3 games, i think. But this could make that a little harder. Really???? pic.twitter.com/M1EElGZV2Z— Allie (@jaylenoishotter) May 31, 2018
That's just the same lowest available $20/game price for the Ultras terrace and 117/118 above them, prorated over the remaining games.
The price is $20 per game, but, what locations are available? The wording can be interpreted different ways.
Go here: https://www.sjearthquakes.com/tickets/2018sth/interest Prices "start at $280". They splash the lowest price, and then if you click through, you see all of the price points. It's simply the regular prices applied to a rest-of-season package.
Ok false alarm I guess. But in a way, that’s very poor marketing when your team is in a slump - to imply a fire sale
Remember when the Quakes boasted of a multi-thousand season ticket waiting list, accessible with a refundable deposit? That evaporated quickly. I think they are finalizing season ticket sales for 2018 to wrap up the seating assignments for the Levi's match vs. Man United. That was the big incentive to buy 2018 season tickets with a 500 limit for season tickets, if I remember correctly. Couldn't move them. The seating map for the Man U game shows lots of available tickets. I think the dynamic pricing model dropped prices this week. The good news is that any price hike for 2019 will be minimal. Maybe some price reductions? Only shadowy Luxury Box Fox knows.
I've lost close to $80 so far Hoping to reduce the loss with Stanford game..hopefully Zlatan has a good run leading up to the game so I can offload the tixs onto the Zlatan faithfuls Actually had a plan to invite a bunch of family members with me who hasn't watched Quakes before to the Stanford game...but with the way this team play I don't want to sour them on the Quakes. So no go for me, sigh
I got plenty of fireworks here in San Jose. I work in Downtown so I get front row seats to the July 4 firework show there, so no need for the Stanford one. For me it's not about losing or winning, it's style of play. I can't be taking a bunch of noobies to the game and force them to watch Domball 2.0. I know that, win or lose, it'll be a bore. The team is just unwatchable, absolutely unwatchable. But who am I kidding, we all know the Quakes going to lose LOL
Well after initial success reselling my tickets in 2018 (3/3 games), I failed on the last 2 games. No one bought my 2 tix for the LAFC game, and I sold only 2 of 4 seats for the NE Revs Wed night game. I was kinda shocked about the LAFC tix, but I guess all the LAFC fans decided to sit together.
I need three tickets to the August 29th game against FCKD. It's a Wednesday, so hoping that I can find some decent tickets. I'm stupidly bring friends. They've known me forever and get that I have this addiction, so probably they'll forgive me if we suck. Go Quakes!! - Mark
I have been able to sell all my games so far, except for the DC match---gosh, it's like the potential buyers are prescient or something.... Was able to make a profit off of Stanford game. Thanks Zlatan! No sarcasm here at all. Overall, still about close to $120 in loss. Renewal has been canceled.
I had to price my RBNY tickets at a loss of about $20 each, but they sold today after I reduced them $10 below market price, so for the 2018 season I guess I am 4 for 6.
I made back face value on my RBNY tickets, amazingly. Anyhow, I'm about more than $300 or so down the hole right now, kinda stopped counting last 2-3 games. Hoping to reduce the loss with the Cruz Azul sales. Wish me luck ya'll!
Managed to sold my Cruz Azul tickets for slightly above face value. No dent made in my total losses, unfortunately. Gonna take a lot more than Almeyda's hiring to get me to come back as STH--and I sure hope to find good reasons to come back.
Out of curiosity, how did you spend your Saturday night instead of attending the game? And was it more fun than an evening at Avaya?
I generally spend my Saturday nights watching Quakes games at home So yeah, I still suffer along with ya'll emotionally There are times when I do other things. San Jose, though it sometimes get bad reps regarding entertainment options, still has a ton of things to do on the weekends. And that's not taking into account the rest of the Bay Area... As for this specific game against Cruz Azul, I was in Carmel having a little RnR with family.
