This thread has dropped to PAGE 28!

ANDREW HAUPTMAN OUT...of Center for American Progress.

Mr. Hauptman has joined the Board of Directors (well, two months ago).

No wonder they have begun to suck lately.

    From the article:
"American Progress is delighted to welcome two visionary leaders, Julián Castro and Andrew Hauptman"
    I think I'm gonna barf!

"Through their work in politics and policymaking, business, and philanthropy, both Julián and Andrew have left indelible marks in their fields,”

Well, I guess the shit stain he left on the Fire and MLS (not to mention "Thunderpants" of course) could be considered an "indelible" mark!

For the record, I have no problem with Julian Castro.

In other recent Andrew Hauptman news, he and the missus (I am guessing mostly the missus, since I doubt Andrew has control of the purse strings), have bought a new house.

    https://variety.com/2020/dirt/heirs...-buys-21-5-million-malibu-mansion-1234632872/

I guess their "minimalist" period is over.

    Quite the downsize from

    https://www.dirt.com/more-dirt/heir...rew-hauptman-house-125-million-bel-air-9664/#!

Although it sold for "only" $85,000,000

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/bronfman-scion-sells-bel-air-manse-for-85-million-1520531453

So, they bought the "minimalist" house in 2002 for $20.75 million and sold it in 2018 for $85 million.

He bought the Fire in 2007 for $35 million and sold it in 2019 for, what?, $245 millions (according to Forbes).

Hauptman was a shitting owner, but he (or his wife) might be a pretty good business person.
Edit: I take that back. Hauptman sucks at everything.

By the way, this is exactly why taxes are too damned low!
That roughly $65 million they "earned" on the sale of the house should be income and capital gains (if it is).
That $190 million he "earned" on the sale of the Fire should be income.

Taxes should be much, much higher on the 'uber' rich.

From some filth you linked above:

“In 2007, Andrew Hauptman — through Andell — paid $35 million for the Chicago Fire professional soccer club, which he subsequently built into a $400 million franchise.”

I could not bring myself to posting that!
I had hit my daily revulsion level.

By the way, here is the link to the CAP Press Release (which I seem to have failed to include):

Back to page 1...just to "beat the dead horse"
I watched Catherine Oxenberg's movie about her daughter's trials and tribulations in Nxivm Cult.
It was on Lifetime a couple of weeks ago.

I hear Scrotomento Republic needs a new owner investor. He lives out there. Someone else should enjoy the full Andrew Hauptman experience. (If the league will have him back) I still say Hauptman builds ladders in his attic.
