I have had an excellent youth squad for the past three seasons without excellent results. The last decent pull i had was two seasons ago. I defensive midfieled (passable defense, passing, stanima, set p's) Is there any sure method to the types of players you will get or is it just random? I can tell you it has been 2 years since i pulled a gk. I am strong in that position so all i've focused on has been outfielders.

It's totally and completely random, there is nothing that gives you much better results. On pulling goalies, I'll let Helghallen tell you about that, but I personally have done mostly outfield, although I am probably gonna pull keepers the next few weeks hoping to get a new one.

    You rang?

I pull keepers for the most part. I feel you have a better chance of getting something sellable. There is only one stat that needs to be inadequate or higher. The drawback is the increased age variance for keepers. I didn't follow my own advice this week like I normally do: Pull a keeper. I got lucky but I'll pull a keeper next week.

I'm pretty frustrated with my recent youth pulls as well...my youth squad hit excellent late last season and I did pull a couple of solid strikers right away....

this season has been mostly crap tho, couple small transfer fees but most getting fired right away. Think I'm going the GK route next week myself...

Since I've gone excellent YS, I've had a few inad and some passibles that have sold. I've only had 2 big pulls, one, a solid defender late last season I sold for almost 500K. The other, a week 1 solid IM which I have already trained up to excellent this season. Other then that it's been pretty bad, recently I switched over to GK for a while, pulled a passable goalie this week, I am hoping to pull a solid some time so I can put him into my starters position.

since going to excedllent I have had my fair share of crap, but I have also had a number of inad, passables, solids that have paid off the investment. Damn I hate lotteries.

I have been excellent for three weeks. I have had one player that was worth it. But I don't mind. I know I will get something good eventually. And if I can show some willpower and actually pull a keeper like I say I will, that would help too.
