You know, DC United loans a reserve striker to Rochester or something like that?

I believe Juan Toja is on load from Santa Fe in Colombia, TFC's just got their latest keeper on load from a Scandinavian club. And of course, there are the rumors of Beckham going on loan to a European club during the MLS offseason.

If were to loan within our league I'd like to go by the way of the EPL, the loaned player can't play the team he's orginally playing for.

I don't think we'll ever see teams loaning players to USL teams. For one, the reserve league is about on par with USL as it is.

MLS players have been loaned out to European and South American clubs in the past. Ben Olsen was on loan in Nottingham Forest at one time.

Does anyone know in MLS if a player is loaned to another club, does that player still count against the salary cap?

Mike Randolph of the Gals was on loan to California Victory (USL-1) for most of the season, which is where I first saw him play. The Vics also had at least one other guy on loan from LA. It happens. I just don't know how frequently.
