A rumor, becomes a thread, which becomes a referenced thread on a fan-site, which then appears as a bullet item in mainstream media. If you want to see the process work with stunning clarity, take a look at how spin-doctors of political campaigns feed blogs, which feed pundits, which feed editorials, which feed news media, which is then referenced by the very spin-doctor that created the item, to legitmize the initial claim. It's a cool world we live in, but information digested these days must be viewed with a great deal of skepticism. Having said all that, I hope the rumors are true
