While I believe that Rusty has the skills to contend for a spot, his history of being an ejection waiting to happen weighs against Bruce even thinking about him. On the other hand, a player who would publicly say he doesn't deserve a call-up probably doesn't belong in MLS to begin with, and would definitely not be considered for the Nats.
