Robert lewandowski is the highest ranked CF with 26 ESM monthly selections

ibrahimovic is the second highest ranked CF with 22

And Luis Suarez has 19 with makes him joint third highest ranked CF with Ronaldo Nazário

Kylian Mbappe follows them with 18 ESM monthly selections alongside Andres iniesta

Mohammed salah has 16 selections with players like Totti,Rooney,Benzema and Haaland just behind on 15

It's hard to appear in esm team of the month on Neymar's era cause the left and right wings were basically occupied by Ronaldo and Messi every month. The only available position were striker

Ronaldo 2009-10 Apart from the two months he was injured, he should have been in the team of the month every month. How was he selected twice? In my opinion, Ronaldo was the best player of 2009-10, only from an quality

    Yeah

The shade of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo offers a very comfortable place to hide

Don't you think Neymar deserved more appearances than he got? I mean, months in which he were the best in the world at his position but didn't appear in the ESM TOTM.

Edit: for example: in 09/2013 Neymar had 8 assists and 2 goals in 7 games and he were left out for Radamel Falcão farming numbers at ligue 1 and Diego Costa. Didn't he deserve to be there that month?

He’s entitled to a vote here

    He played with Figo
    He played against Figo
    He played with Ronaldo Nazario
    He played against Ronaldo nazario
    He played against Messi
    He played with Ronaldinho
    He played against Ronaldinho

He won the World Cup,champions league,Copa America, league titles galore and made a ballon dor podium

If he never said Figo >Messi I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with what he said(it would be debatable)

Especially the way people debate here comparing players based on ‘individual attributes’

I would bet anything that Luis Figo in his peak completed more dribbles per game, created more chances per game and made more successful tackles per game than Ronaldinho,Thierry Henry and Ronaldo Nazário in their respective peaks

And that should be the least controversial view on this entire thread

But yes Roberto Carlos took it way too far when he put Figo ahead of Messi IMO

Messi is better than Figo. But the difference between top players is small. And yes Figo has a good argument over Dinho due to longevity

Why do you casually call a legend an idiot man? Everybody that doesnt match your world view is an idiot?? You always do this

These guys aren't just pillars of football... they are football. And to just willy nilly dismiss rudely everything that isnt your favorite is disrespectful to our sport

What kind of person would say this?

    Several possibilities:
    1. Deliberate contrarian
    2. The question wasn't what we think it was
    3. The question is exactly what we think it was, but he misunedrstood it
    4. He is on a Figo payroll
    5. Figo's PR manager
    6. He is a bit on a dense side
    7. He doesnt give a ******** and said the first think that came to mind
    8. He is intoxicated
    9. It is not Roberto Carlos but someoen who looks and sounds just like him
    10. Deepfake
    11. He really, really, really likes saying the word Figo
    12. Life is a simulation
    13. Other
I bet on number 6. Multiple options not excluded

There is not much lying deep to understand. It's rather plain to see you are implying a retarded can excel in sport.
