Duisburg or Arminia Bielefeld Sports Seoul reports that Cha's choice will be either Duisberg in Budesliga 2nd Div., or recently promoted Arminia Bielefeld. The report says Cha is leaning towards Duisburg, where WC '90 winner Pierre Littbarski is head coach (btw, didn't he play in the J-League?).
go with Arminia Bielfeld. I think he can hang with the big boys. even Shim Jae-won played in Bundesliga 2.
The SS report also says that Leverkusen chairman Rainer Calmund advised in favor of Duisberg b/c newly promoted Arminia will be relying on defense and counters, but Duisberg, being in the 2nd div., will be playing normal attacking football, so the latter will be a better place for Cha's development.
Cha is a Leverkusen player now. However, Leverkusen wants Cha to gain experience from some other team in Germany before he comes back Leverkusen. So Leverkusen is looking for a 1st Div. or 2nd Div team that would use Cha a lot. Cha will be loaned.
the problem with loaned players is that the team that loaned the player does not use the player that much. (ironic, isn't it?)
Duisberg! It's reported that Cha has decided to play for Duisberg. Cha is said to be impressed by Duisberg coach Littbarski's willingness to embrace him, on top of his credentials as a 3 time WC finalist. Littbarski is even said to have brought a magnetic board to illustrate the team's formation and how Cha would fit in.
Cha will be loaned 1 year to Duisburg. Leverkusen wants Cha to gain as much experience as possible until he can play for Leverkusen. The question is, will Duisburg let Cha start all the time? I mean, yeah I also read how Duisburg's coach Littbarski tried hard to persuade Cha, but Cha is LOANED.
