It seems that Arsene Wenger is a fan of his since Danny impressed him in a trial that got him signed. The thing is I have never seen him play and I am curious on what other people have to say?

I want to see him play as well but, right now, I'm guessing he's at that between-the-cracks age; too old for U17s, too inexperienced for the U23s (which seem to be, for better or worse, the two teams that get the most press). Until he makes U23s, I doubt we'll be able to watch him at the International level. If the U20s get some airtime (maybe at that big Frechnch tourney), maybe we can see him there.

I'd love someone to tell us what he plays like/who he plays like...

I know people who have seen him play. Its just a matter of time until we are both on AIM at the same time, I will ask him then.

I have never seen him play but I can tell you he is the best attacking American player since Freddie Adu. I have heard of him taking on 4 defenders at at a time and then chipping the keeper from 30 yards. Fantastic.

However, if he ever has one bad performance I will tell you that he sucks royally and should never wear a US uniform again.

I've seen him play many times. Very, very quick and skillful left-sided player. Likes to take people on and works very hard. Good in the air despite not being all that tall. Saw him score a goal for Roanoke Star v FC Richmond from a free kick from 30 yards where he nearly moved the crossbar after nailing it from the set piece.

He's quality, no doubt, and I've never seen him play with superior players like he's getting with the U-18's and will have at Arsenal. I suspect he'll thrive in such an environment.

Read his own account of his trial at Arsenal and playing with the first team - that should give you an idea that they seriously rate him.

He scored one goal with the U18s on their trip to France. Very clean player technically. Some were questioning his ability to handle physical play after a camp in Chula Vista, but he bagged a hat trick in the final match which may have helped shut people up.

He hasn't played much soccer this spring, but in about a month he will be in the big time (and there's the Milk Cup before that, if he's on the roster).

I saw him play vs the U17s in Bradenton a few months ago. He wasn't impressive in that game because the 17s dominated but one game does not make a worthy evaluation(unlike some BSers think!)

Wow! Thanks for the link it was a good read. That was so cool that he got to train with Arsenal's first team and guys like Henry and Campbell. Man it would be great if he made it big over there.

Arsene Wenger has seen him play. Arsenal decided to offer him a contract, and that's good enough for me.

Me too. I think he is hurt by the fact that he is too old for the U17s (which get the most coverage) and is hurt by the depth of the people in front of him for the U20s and U23s. I hope he will be on the Olympic squad or the U20 WC squad (he should at least make one) so we can see some clips of him in action.
