Unbelievable. Every Friday, Amazon.com emails me the movie listings for the nearest 3 or 4 movie theaters to my house.

In a 10 screen theater, they're only showing THREE movies this weekend:

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring (foreign film)
Shrek 2 - taking up two screens

the other SEVEN screens will be taken up with Mr. Potter's lastest movie

Yeah, but it certainly ruins my weekend movie aspirations.

Support your local movie house (as I've got no doubt you'd do Nico, given the chance). This isn't Harry's fault, or even Voldemort's, it's the curse of the multiplex.

Then go see Harry Potter. This one's directed by Alfonso Cuaron- one of the best filmmakers working today.

I guess I'm bitching and moaning because this multiplex is actually quite "un-multiplex" most of the time. They'll often have multiple foreign films and some art films all going at the same time. (non-Mirimax stuff too as to ward off the wrath of Gringo.)

Yep it would be nice if the HP moviegoers, of whom I expect to be one, had to stand in longer lines for the sake of greater variety.
Who wouldn't want to ward that off? I mean the guy puts brain-eating worms in your ear.

I'm going to see it late tonight in the hopes that there are no little kids there...I hope it works.
