...To all my fellow Philly MLS fans, the city where it all started in this country.

I guess if we become Independence SC we will play every 4th.

Looking at attendance numbers from yesterday, I think MLS will easily award Philly a July 4th game over, say Houston (less than 10,000).

Did the Rapids get their traditionally large 4th of July crowd yesterday?

It would be wise to give Philly a home match every 4th.

    Tuesday, July 4
    FC Dallas 16,240
    Chicago Fire 10,387
    Houston Dynamo 8,497
    Colorado Rapids 39,205
    Real Salt Lake 20,752
    Los Angeles Galaxy 23,027

We'll let Dallas keep theirs, but Houston and Chicago have officially failed the 4th. Maybe they will give a 4th game to DC, Columbus or NY next year.

Too bad we can't give one to Toronto too.

Which is shocking becasue I can't imagine anyone not wanting to see the COLUMBUS CREW play at every chance they get...

Well you would think that the fans in Houston would at least want to see their own new team on the 4th. Weak.

It's the post-game fireworks display at Invesco Field that gets the people out each year. They've had years when they'd get something like 60,000 for the 4th of July match.

I believe that the proper term for Houston is 'pre-owned', or 'slightly used'.;)
