@Isaías Silva Serafim @babaorum @SayWhatIWant @Wiliam Felipe Gracek @PDG1978 @Sexy Beast @Frank73 @Gregoire @markcarrick In this video I’ve included nearly every goal, assist, pre assist, and even pre-pre assist from Michel Platini’s European Cup career with Juventus along with his most beautiful dribbles, great touches, tackles, attempts on goal and moments of playmaking brilliance. After finishing this mini project, I can comfortably say Michel Platini is a top 5 player I’ve ever watched and without question the best playmaker I’ve ever seen. Platini played only 30 games in the European Cup and not the 100+ appearances some others have had yet his impact in that short span was absolutely extraordinary. If Michel Platini had even a tenth of the fanbase that players like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr or even Lamine Yamal enjoy today, his legend would be spoken of with far greater reverence and his name would echo in every debate about football’s greatest exactly where it belongs.
1. Messi 2. Pele 3. Cruyff 4. Maradona 5. Di Stefano 6. CR7 7. Platini 8. Puskas 9. Zidane 10. Eusebio 11. Zico 12. Beckenbauer Only 6 players are better than him
Wow man! This must be one of the greatest footballing projects on the net. Perhaps the greatest. I am not mincing words. I will watch when I get the chance. In the meantime looking forward to the portugal ireland game
The cruyff placement is beyond comical and messi is not better than pele. And cruyff ahead of cristiano is insulting. But nothing new from the messi fangirls
The issue with Platini is he neither had the dribbling nor first spectacular first touch of some of these players - which for many who don't know football, may lead them to undersell his other qualities
.... —The five greatest footballers of all time, according to V. Boskov Greater Sampdoria's Head-coach Of all time ? "I'm not sure which is the greatest. Either Di Stefano, or Pelé, or Johann Cruijff. It doesn't matter how you stack them. Then add Ferenc Puskas and Michel Platini drawned ." You're discovering right now. What I discovered exactly 20 years ago, more or less...it in that age ... i guess 2003 .. I have the PlacarMagazine DVD...'s of the Football about Michel Platini I bought this 20 years ago... So... V. ..Boskov... speaks completely emotional and crying with love...on about Michel's extremely velvety touch. Boskov ... saw alive and live ... Ferenc Puskas playing ..at Olympic Games in 1952 .. against him-self ... "! — I cinque calciatori più grandi di tutti i tempi, secondo Boskov? «Ho un dubbio sul più grande. O Di Stefano, o Pelé o Johann Cruijff. Non importa come li metti. Poi aggiungi Puskas e Platini». https://storiedicalcio.altervista.org/blog/vujadin-boskov-intervista-marzo-1991.html
Platini was like the Alain Prost of football: both produced the minimum effort for reaching the maximum effect. Naturally, people tend to underrate them for that.
It is generally true for all the greats of his generation. No fake show off Ronaldinho or Neymar style. Less is more. Economy of gestures as a form of beauty. And the outcome was bigger. A bit like with actors: the measured performance of, say, an Alec Guinness versus the overacting of a Tom Cruise.
.... .. yes ... Platini always tried to do the right thing tactically with a natural tactical intelligence awareness ., Off the Ball, Anticipating pretty well always ... "! ..... i'm doing one video.......on dribbling skills ...of Michel Platini ... until 1979 ..at Nancy ... Platini dribbles alot yes .. always tried so many many sombreros, nutmegs, Lob dribble , zig zag dribbles ...etc,,. later Platini broken one the right ankle ... ...in 1979 .. and after ... some injuries .... Saint Etienne .... changed his style a bit He became more economical in dribbling skills ... But he became a total master of passing skills and vision. in Italian football he was a true team player and ... began to intensify the defensive part of the game became a Master on this as well ..at defensive whole job .. "!
Sir Alf Ramsey,no introduction needed, said about maradona: this boy is amazing.i saw pele,he had almost everything, maradona has everything.he works harder, does more, gives his all in the field.
@babaorum @PDG1978 @Isaías Silva Serafim @Wiliam Felipe Gracek @ffff15 @Betrayed@Krondor @SayWhatIWant @Frank73 @Bin1250 Michel Platini’s Complete European Cup Highlights My first attempt at a Michel Platini European Cup compilation was a good start but it wasn’t structured, and some of the clips were low quality. This one is different. This is the definitive Michel Platini EC compilation and one that I’m pleased with I’ve included: • Every single goal • Every assist, every pre-assist, and every pre-pre assist • His best passing, shooting, dribbling, and tackling moments To make it feel more authentic, I used a soundtrack from the same era. It’s meant to capture that 1980s atmosphere whether you were lucky enough to see him live or just appreciate the magic of that era. No clip is replayed twice or slowed down except one(it seems they weren’t do a whole lot of replays back then even for genuinely great moments) Overall, I’ve managed to squeeze over 10 minutes of footage from 28 games. Now that this project has finally come to an end, I can honestly say it’s been a highly pleasurable and educational experience studying this small but special part of Michel Platini’s career. I hope everyone enjoys it and feel free to share your feedback (and criticism if you must, lol).
