what, a muslim president? don't be silly, obama has play-acted at being a churchgoing Christian at least as well as anyone in this century. even sillier is finding fault with B86's distinction between rational and irrational. except for the earliest forms of atavistic spirit worship religion is irrational, whether you approach the question from a scientific, a philosophical, an anthropological or a theological standpoint. even the good sisters teaching catechism made it clear to me that faith, the foundation of belief, is by its very nature irrational. rational ≠ irrational true ≠ false good ≠ bad all the terms on the left or the right don't necessarily correlate in columns. shallow, ignorant christians of the kim davis, ben carson etc. persuasion are unable to grasp that. they lack the thinking skills to avoid amalgamating all dichotomies so they take issue with being told religion is irrational. now if I said such ilk were turdbrained twunts they would have reason to take umbrage. but that (though good, true and rational) is a different thing.
Did I say Barry was a Muslim? His religion is post modern atheism and this week he'll troll the Pope at the White House, but don't criticize him for it or you will be labeled a racist.
Trump goes after Fiorina.. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/09/tru...t-on-fiorina-mocking-her-business-experience/ There is no way that Carly Fiorina can become the Republican Nominee or win against the Dems. Boxer killed her for Senate in California! -- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 21, 2015 Carly Fiorina did such a horrible job at Lucent and HP, virtually destroying both companies, that she never got another CEO job offer! Pres. -- Donald J. Dear Candidate, Approximately how old is the earth? Sincerely, Any answer that doesn't include the word "Billions" disqualifies you from the race with immediate effect.
Wasn't the Hillary Clinton campaign the first to suggest or hint at Obama being a Muslim during the 2008 campaign?
No, but I'll take your recommendation. I know what I do because I learned to read on the popular histories of Fletcher Pratt and because my alma mater retained the stamp of his personality still in 1970; one knew things about him by a sort of environmental seepage, along with Ezra Pound, Elihu Root, Alexander Woolcott, and so on...
So you just made it up because it fits your world view? Or can you point to specific "post-modern atheist"-y actions which no other cosmology could initiate?
Do you think he is a practicing Christian? If you need an example I'll offer up the fact the Obamas never gave to charity before entering the White House despite having very big salaries.
What does it matter what I think? You have made a claim about objective fact which you do not appear to have any support for? The world is full of practicing Christians who have never given to charity, and practicing atheists who have...
i'll have a post-modern atheist fizz with a ghostdance of 1870 chaser cosmologytender. but if I ask for a huitzilopochtli mary cut me off and take my keys.
Because it seems important to you, which I find odd because I'd have thought being an atheist would have been a plus in your eyes. And the world is full of practicing Christians who have never given to charity, but there are very few atheists who are generous unless it involves other people's money.
By statistical studies on charitable giving. The poor give more than the wealthy, the right more than the left, and the religious more than non-believers. Is that a problem for you?
can generosity only involve money? I've never heard such an unchristian attitude in all my born days.
This is pure and utter bullshit. Completely fabricated. 75% of all charitable donations in the USA go to churches, which are tax exempt. That's not charity, it's a racket. It's highly arguable whether most of that money even helps anyone who actually needs it.
link? and it better support your assertion of VERY FEW or I'll be miffed at your decidedly unchristian prevarication.
.. I'm pretty much an atheist (despite my many references to Lutheranism, I only go to church as a holiday/family exercise), and I give regularly, as does my lapsed Catholic-never-to-return wife. There are plenty of libertarians who would describe as atheists who give also - otherwise, things like The Reason Foundation, FIRE, IJ, Altas Foundation, Cato, and many, many others would not exist.
