Hence the hope is for Trump to pressure Bibi. I also think it might depend from where those forces might be.

    P.S. Ceasefire back on.

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/israe...andling-of-greta-thunberg-flotilla-activists/

Israeli media is wild because the headline says we didn't abuse anyone, but then it has a video of Ben Gvir taunting them in captivity--->calling them all terrorists, which I hope by now you know is just as ridiculous as Trump calling leftists domestic terrorist is....Same fascist playbook.

But later in the article we get quotes from Ben Gvir like this!!

“I went to visit Ketziot prison and I was proud that we are treating the ‘flotilla activists’ as terror supporters, whoever supports terrorism is a terrorist, and deserves the conditions of terrorists,” he said. “It is worthwhile for them to experience the conditions in Ketziot prison, and think twice before they come close to Israel again. That’s how it works.”

Just a reminder if there's a conflict and one side keeps on killing journalists, you should probably think twice about listening to how they report on the conflict.

An Ohio University professor lost his job due to being on the flotilla.

Israel doesn't want peace, they'll find any tricks on the books to break it - they already have.

Trump can't control him, the whole world knows it.

The reality is Israel doesn't really have a functioning government without the Genocide continuing. The Far Right isn't going to compromise on what they want to do, Netanyahu doesn't want an end to the conflict because that means potential jailtime.

The long and short of it is Israel is kind of screwed. Their leadership has just committed massive crimes against the International Community, without achieving their actual goals. So they are going to try and restart the War and hope that the international pressure will cease. Which it won't. Their only hope is to drag American into a War with Iran. This is the worst case scenario, because I would expect that America would have to become a fully throated Fascist Regime because the division would be insane. There is a sizable contingent of young people on the right who are just as concerned with the US's relationship with Israel and do not want boots on the ground. Remember Trump ran as a peacemaker no more wars.

But the international pressure isn't going anywhere. And as we get closer to Midterms, I believe they will continue to lose support from the Democratic Party.

There's a clip here of Jennifer Welch asks Booker point blank about Netanyahu being a war criminal, Booker couldn't say anything. When asked about his AIPAC contributions? He called them miniscule, despite them totaling over 800k. My feed the next day was ruthless in talking about Cory Booker. There was another clip of Gavin Newsome being asked about AIPAC and all he can say is interesting, interesting, I don't think about them ever. And the interviewer looked at him and said I'm never voting for another politician that takes AIPAC money. When I say that both of their answers were met with yep never voting for that guy in a national election... That was the response. Again this is my echo chamber so keep that in mind, but it is a chamber and it isn't small.

Seth Moulton a Democrat Rep in Massachusetts is returning the money he has received from AIPAC in advance for his senate candidacy.

    https://www.jpost.com/american-politics/article-870868

Mallory McMorrow fielded some questions on the matter recently as she hit the trail in her Michigan Senate race.

The state senator from Royal Oak said that she would not be accepting money from AIPAC, not now or in the future, nor was she seeking its endorsement.

She also called the war and the strife there a “moral abomination.” When asked if she would call it a genocide, McMorrow, after a deep breath and long pause, said it was by definition a genocide.

People are paying very close attention to how Democrat politicians are handling Israel right now. If you all thought that Kamala lost because of leftists not voting hear me when I say this--> if the Democratic Party continues to ignore the Israel issue, we've got some serious problems in the Midterms. There are many people like myself who will not vote for a politician that supported a genocide. I voted for Harris with my hand to my nose and after seeing the Democrat Party do absolutely nothing to stop fascism they will need to re-earn my vote. Why do you think Trump and company are trying to label us as Domestic Terrorists?

It's because there is a lot of more of us out there then you think. Enough to the point where I don't think Democrats have a way to win elections without the support of the Left. And they have moved so far to the right that trying to scapegoat the Left into continuing to vote for them just isn't going to work. Zohran isn't winning because of his politics. He's winning because of his policies. Being a communist isn't a dirty word anymore. My whole generation's birthrate is down, our parents have more wealth than we do, and there isn't a society in history I could think of where 25-40 year olds are having so many decisions being made about their lives by people above retirement age. Capitalism isn't working for everyone anymore. The reality is Capitalism has NEVER worked for everyone. It's a economic plan that requires infinite growth and with an Empire in decline? Yeah that's not going to be very successful. It's simple math.

Reporting from American Ryan Grim about the reason for the halt of the ceasefire and why it was reversed so quickly. They ran over an unexploded ordnance. The CNN headline had this as the first MAJOR test of the Ceasefire, even though the IDF has been killing Palestinians every single day since the agreement.

    https://qudsnen.co/reports-white-ho...-from-israeli-bulldozer-hitting-uxo-not-hamas

The White House and Pentagon reportedly knew that the Rafah explosion was caused by a settler Israeli bulldozer running over unexploded ordnance (UXO), contradicting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claim that Hamas fighters had emerged from tunnels.

According to journalist Ryan Grim from Drop Site, US officials were briefed soon after the blast that the incident resulted from an Israeli settler-operated bulldozer triggering a UXO, not a Hamas operation. Despite this, Netanyahu publicly accused Hamas and announced that he would block all aid from entering Gaza in response.

According to sources cited by Grim, after the US administration confronted Israel with its findings, Netanyahu reversed course, saying crossings would reopen within hours. The Pentagon reportedly came to the same conclusion as the White House.

Can we try and stick to actual sources and not quoting a source who quotes a source who then quoted the original source as the first source who tweeted the news? There's literally NOTHING on the news or from any official sources (be it the US government or otherwise) that suggests the two soldiers were killed by a mine. Furthermore, when you use a source like Al Quds who write things like "settler Israeli bulldozer" (is that a new name for a CAT bulldozer?), you lose any potential credibility as a poster. So please, stop posting this garbage.

This bears repeating. There are a lot of unsourced assertions made here.

However... what would you say is a trusted, reliable source of Palestinian news?

I had watched a video of Ryan Grimm reporting it directly. Apologies it's been hard to find accurate sources over the course of the Genocide because Israel keeps on murdering journalists.

While I've had my share of inaccurate links in the past as well, I now try to do as much due diligence before linking something. That's why 90% of my links are from podcasts that I listen to. If you yourself (even with a half-ass sarcastic tone) acknowledges that finding accurate sources is hard, why then spam the thread with a link to something that you know yourself is complete garbage, unless only to double down on your hatred of Israel and use any sources to push that propaganda down our throats.

Younus Tirawi has tweeted, repeatedly, about the bulldozer incident (and he's got lots of video on his feed about bulldozers destroying houses in Rafah after the ceasefire took effect).

Like I said I watched a direct video from Ryan Grimm, an American journalist who's reporting I respect. Considering the narrative that US/UK media is spinning at the behest of its leaders, it can be hard to find accurate reporting with correct language. For example, many Palestinian hostages that are being detained in Israeli jails are oftentimes labeled prisoners, even though they committed no crime, nor were they given any due process. They are oftentimes kidnapped.

You call this propaganda of course. I don't. There's the disagreement. Did you see my post from the Israeli media that seemed to have confirmed details from Greta's account about her treatment?

I think it's worth noting that the power imbalance is on full display post Ceasefire. Had the Palestinians bombed the IDF and murdered 30 plus people does anyone here really believe that the Ceasefire would have held? But Israel can use its own people running over its own unexploded ordnance as an excuse to kill more Palestinians and then they get to say.....My bad.

Rabid Jewish settler clubs 55 year old Palestinian woman over the head in unprovoked attack in occupied West Bank:

Palestinian woman in hospital after being clubbed by masked israeli settler https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx20p0qx50no

    video:

This is a Jewish settler tradition of attacking Palestinians in the West Bank during the olive harvest, often with the help of the iDF. There have been around 70 attacks in around a week, one person killed and many injured. The aim is to make life unliveable for Palestinians on their own land, so that the settlers can steal it.
