https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...trators-arrested-after-new-york-protest-seder @TyffaneeSue, are any of these people Jewish, or are they all just antisemites?
That was the most non Seder Seder I’ve ever seen. Call it for what it is, a protest don’t try to hide it behind religion. That is why so many of look down on them.
My marvelous colleague Prof Christopher Brown (@CUHistoryDept) brought the 🔥 at today's Columbia faculty action opposing the arrests of students, suppression of free speech and the congressional threat to independence in higher education. FBI Director Wray said in an interview yesterday that antisemitic threats and violence were increasing before 10/7 and since then have gone up "quite substantially." He also talked about how manipulable TikTok users are for China.
In London police had to apologize after telling a Jew that he "would be arrested if he refused to be escorted out of the area [of a pro-palestinian protest], because he would be “causing a breach of the peace.”" Later the police acknowledged that being "Being Jewish is not a provocation." Yet? But hey, I forgot to mention here that I don't like Bibi.
Emily Maitlis (Jewish) - one of the better UK journalists - did a deep dive on this and it seems the guy in question went fishing for confrontation and then used the video to discredit the Met who were trying to cope with a difficult situation. It's the second to last story here. It's well worth taking 5 mins to listen to because it really illustrates how difficult this is to police and report on. ETA; For clarity, Maitliss says that what the officer said was obviously bad, but he likely was acting in good faith i.e Gideon Falter was deliberately attempting to walk into the protest and was not just try to cross the road - the officer, worried about potential conflict, sought to escort him across the road. Maitliss also played the ongoing attack from far right figures like Braverman, who are attempting to bring down the Met police chief for allowing these protests. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podca...s-off-the-ground/id1640878689?i=1000653225591
Did he talk about Elon Musk buying twitter and using it to boost 1000s of neo nazis and holocaust deniers? Genuine question
Or Markey Mark's past behavior regarding radicalization and genocide? Nope...it's only those Reds who are the problem. What is this? A Fallout game?
This appears to have been debunked (link is part of a longer thread): According to @GeoConfirmed, the same mass grave was dug by Palestinians on January 25th and GeoConfirmed points to a Telegram video by Ahmad Al Louh https://t.co/gvBhgXLCrxHowever, the video shows individual graves at a cemetery-like distance along the palm trees SW of the road. pic.twitter.com/452mVdizkn— Michael Kobs (@MichaKobs) April 22, 2024 Wrong. There were some individual graves (where Palestinians were buried) that were moved to mass graves. However, the number of people recovered significantly exceeds the number of graves that were seen at Nasser hospital prior to the IDF raid. And, of course, that doesn't explain bodies that were found naked and bound or the bodies that still had catheters connected to them.
1. That is a lie. Nowhere in that video says that 2. According the Gaza defense chief and as always no one else could verify that claim
I saw it on a local report here in LA: https://ktla.com/news/nationworld/a...ests-spark-concerns-about-the-safety-of-jews/ Still sad that we have to have someone go out of their way to say it is ok to be recognizably Jewish in public and that being Jewish in a crowd can be by itself provocative. We can easily imagine analogues to this situation.
Whataboutism? You're better than that. He answered what he was asked. Oh edit: how scary is it that the left and the right are both manipulated by social media to hate jews?
yeah agreed. i am guessing your average plod can lack on the DEI front. they’ve been dealing with rape scandals of course.
At least one of the hostages seems to be alive. The Hamas terror group has published a new propaganda video showing signs of life from Israeli-American hostage 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin.In the nearly three-minute-long video, Goldberg-Polin, who is seen missing one of his hands, identifies himself and asks the Israeli… pic.twitter.com/gQPFAtDmpR— Emanuel (Mannie) Fabian (@manniefabian) April 24, 2024
