Maybe we keep saying it in Hebrew and that is why you seem to be so morally bankrupt.

You aren’t an anti-Semite and pro-Hamas for not liking Bibi.

You’re an antisemite and pro-Hamas because you hate Jews.

I respect your commitment to irrationality disguised as public onanism.

Such venom. I feel sorry for you.

Israel had widespread support in the aftermath of the terror attack. But Bibi somehow even ruined that to the point that Chuck Schumer wants him gone. How sucky do you have to be to get to that point?

Not a 100% comparison but Bibi's kind of like Dubya. After 9/11 he had widespread support. But due to the Iraq debacle, became super unpopular around the world & most of us didn't support his moronic invasion. But unfortunately he was our dumbass-in-chief until he left. Bibi's done it in just a few months.

A better analogy IMO would be to imagine if Trump had been POTUS on 9/11. Bibi incorporates both kinds of shittiness.

Yeah, but Trump would support Hamas if they called him a "very powerful & virile leader with the penis of a camel"

Except that Bibi may be a much more perverse and nefarious character than Dubya.

Maybe moishe doesn’t support Netanyahu, but this whole “get rid of UNRWA” thing is very much so a right wing issue, one that, from what I can tell, most Jews don’t feel strongly about, even if they don’t have a favorable opinion of the org.

The main conflict with them is the right of return, and UNRWA is seen as a symbol of Palestinian support for that cause. That’s fair.

It’s stuff like this that distracts from legitimate concerns. Every outrageous claim, every “stray bullet,” every mass grave, every doctor/emt/aid worker that gets killed, every West Bank Palestinian killed in settler violence, etc… drowns out those concerns when the Israeli govt response is a shrug and “these things happen in war” or “DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED ON OCT 7th?!?!?!!”

We have gone through this recently with W. Bush with the Iraq War and WoT, mass drone bombing, Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, etc…. The path of unremorseful retribution and settling scores is only going to lead to an erosion of the cause. Getting Trump in office showed the US to be an even more unreliable partner, and it will be a disaster if it happens again.

I wish that the Israeli govt and people avoid these pitfalls. The goal of getting rid of Hamas is morally right, but not at the cost of the erasure and displacement of millions of Palestinians.

I 100% believe in Israel’s right to exist, along with Palestinians having right to live in Gaza and West Bank and surrounding areas too. I want to see a strong and healthy democratic partner in the Middle East. I fear that the way the Israeli hard right are conducting and expanding their military operation will lose Israel the moral high ground and make it weaker, more isolated, and less secure.

Your kind of rhetoric and fake righteousness killed thousands of Palestinian women & children. See how facile it is to flip the script, Hamas Monitor?

There is no maybe about it. My opinion about Bibi is on par with pretty much the consensus on this board. That said, the issue with UNRWA within Israel is not a right wing thing. Much of the goodwill that had been built up, the compassion from the far left isn’t what it was prior to 10/07.

This video from Al Jazeera does good job reviewing Biden's culpability in the genocide in Gaza, notwithstanding the hypocritical concerns about Israel limiting civilian deaths and the spat between Democrats and Netanyahu.

IMO the focus on these protests minimizes the tragedy in Gaza.

Ignoring them also diminishes just how bad antisemitism has gotten in this country.

Well the mass graves thing has already been framed as propaganda or misinformation in here so what exactly is the point of discussing it? It's another topic where both sides won't budge an inch from their entrenched positions.
