Looks like hes a nepo baby so if he was canned it wouldn't matter since his grandfather founded El Al & his family's loaded
Wouldn’t matter to who? Do you know what motivates him, what he takes pride in? How about his family dynamic. I don’t know the answers to those questions which is why I wouldn’t have made a shit take like you just did…over and over again
He's a Zionist who likes to dox students at his own university. He might be gone soon so who really cares? He'll whine about "academic freedom" or some crap and get some Fox appearances out of it.
I love this! If anyone ever identifies that I did something I can accuse them of doxing — EVEN THOUGH I DID IT!
So you think an associate professor filming a moment of public prayer and then dropping it on social media to frame it as something sinister is normal behavior?
Honestly the whole public prayer stuff is so weird and cringe and cult behaviour to me. This screams oh look at me, look at how pious I am. Go to your house of worship and pray there Even though I am not a Christian even the Orthodox Church says that is pure arrogance and the behaviour of hypocrites. Heck maybe the Orthodox Church is the reason I am atheist as they say just be good and that is good enough to go into heaven
But academics praising or making statements in support of 10/07 are okay? You haven’t said ******** all about them.
Not my thing either but you'd shut down the Western Wall? If they're not violating the law then it's not my business
Comparing the Western Wall to a college campus, football stadium or flagpole is stupid. The Wall is an actual place of worship and you are only in that part of Jerusalem because you actually want to be there otherwise there are other ways to commute through the old city.
1. Those kids were holding a protest on that lawn so where exactly do you expect them to hold their prayers? 2. What about the sight of them praying is so offensive? Or is the mere fact that they are practicing Muslims the offensive part?
I am not saying that Moishe is personally offended by the sight. Yet the original tweeter and the people who are defending them do clearly see something threatening or sinister in the sight of Muslim kids praying on the site of their protest.
Who specifically are we talking about here? There were academics who applauded the 10/07 attacks and still have jobs?
As a general rule even if I agree with someone I will never say this group is never capable of x and y because by god you will find someone who will do just that. In the past I called conservative types idiots for saying gay people will sue churches to marry them. Guess what happened: gay couples sued churches. Veeeeery few did but it happened The whole discussion on what US and western academics believe about this war is so uninteresting to me but a quick google search will lead to plenty of examples of "academics who applauded the 10/07 attacks and still have jobs" Russell Rickford, Associate Professor of History at Cornell University: or https://wnyt.com/top-stories/albany...inians-tearing-down-the-walls-of-colonialism/
I hadn't heard of this guy until your post but it does seem there was something of a consequence for his actions: a semester leave of absence. A decision which was made in October.
^^^^^ I feel like the writer is saying Palestinians were exhilarated, NOT that he himself was exhilarated. In fact he says he abhors violence.
I haven't heard of many academics plastered here but I heard of Cornell I mean if you want to ackshually that sure but I can find other examples like the other example I gave. And semester of leave ... please. He was a whooping 3 months on leave. When cops are suspended people call that a joke too Ah the classic nitpick you find here on BS.... like it effing matters. The whole response is not appropriate no matter what Oh and there is a reason why the saying "saying the quiet part loud" exists.
IMO there’s a world of difference between describing feelings and endorsing them. Saying there Nazis were exhilarated by their conquest of France isn’t an endorsement of it.
