News from the UN regarding Israel war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza

"Israel has perpetrated a concerted policy to destroy Gaza’s healthcare system as part of a broader assault on Gaza, committing WAR CRIMES and the crime against humanity of extermination with relentless and deliberate attacks on medical personnel and facilities. Israeli security forces have deliberately killed, detained and tortured medical personnel and targeted medical vehicles while tightening their siege on Gaza and restricting permits to leave the territory for medical treatment. These actions constitute the WAR CRIMES.."

I do see pro Israeli people making similar points to this, I wonder if anyone here agrees.

I guess they argue that is similar to white male fragility and how some of them have reacted to other 'inferior' groups have gained the same rights as them.

But what the poster doesn't talk about is that even if true, that still would not give Israeli Jews the right to treat Palestinian Arabs like shit.

First, it's completely tone-deaf for Americans to try to superimpose their own country's sordid racial history on other people and cultures. There is no Israeli/Palestinian analogy to slavery.

Next, if you read David Cohen's post, he's on point. It's unfortunate that so many Americans are ignorant of the actual history and prefer the TikTok version.

The Palestinian movement is steeped in the supremacism of the broader pan-Arab and pan-Islamist movements. This is why their mission has always been to replace the world’s only Jewish state rather than live side-by-side with it in peace.

Consistent, of course, with so much of their recent behavior, including that of October 7.

Sure, some Israelis treat Palestinians like shit. But the majority do not. Doesn't matter to Hamas - they still murdered many of the people who were most sympathetic to Gaza!

I vote for treating both Israelis and Palestinians like actual people from countries that we don't know enough about.

So it seems like the new York times published a story about IDF soldiers shooting Palestinian kids at point blank range, the story had X-ray pictures of the children

But there seems to be a problem, see if you can spot it

Horribile things are happening there, plenty of them at least questionable and more than a few would be criminal. That's not in question.

What is in question - or ought to be - is the need to lie, compulsively, and why the lies are so sloppy.

The lies are sloppy because they can be. The people those lies are targeting won’t hear any rebuttal, but if they do they won’t believe them.

Read the responses to the NYT opinion piece. Most of them kneejerk condemnations of Israel. No one apparently bothered to talk to a forensics expert or medical professional.

Sanitary conditions in Gaza are no doubt substandard. But, again, who started this war, and who has the power to stop it? Not Israel.

Hamas is confiscating the food/aid that is coming in, as they have been doing for a year now. But nice try.

There was one guy who maybe, possibly, was a Hamas fighter and the rest are "We did our best not to maybe, possibly, not kill thousands and instead just dozens so it's ok get off our backs".

As I posted before I condemn attacks like suicide bombing a busstop, because there's one or two idf soldiers there and killing bystanders in the process. I guess you have the same opinion.
You claimed you care for the children, the babies, the incubator ones.
    I believed you.
But you keep on justifying bombing with bunker busters places cramped with refugees, of which by default given the population make up of Gaza 2/3 are children, just because there's a hamas fighter somewhere in that spot.
These pilots are worse than those suicide bombers. They use hundreds of kilo bombs on spots with hundreds of innocents in contrast to the suicide bomber with a couple of pounds strapped on him.
This is one of the most disgusting whitewashing remarks of idf's strategy of eliminating everything capable of medical care or living conditions.

So to win any war, anywhere, just use civilians as human shields. Put military assets in civilian areas so your enemy kills non-combatants and you can point to how awful your enemy is.

Is that what you are advocating?

  17. As usual you dodge the real question: "Why do you condemn (terrorist) attacks with limited casualties because of the nature of those, still unacceptable, actions, but defend 1000 kilo bombs massacres because ...they're just Palestinian kids?
You know damn well idf has alternatives for these operations that don't cause these massacres, but they chose to mass murder.

I'm not dodging anything, you are.

I don't know IDF has "other options". I keep hearing of these "other options" but no one will spell them out.

So tell me, what are those "other options"? Be specific.

If he knows "damn well" what those alternatives are, then you "know damn well" too.

In which case shouldn't you share them with us?

Well, according to a NY Times report, that is exactly what the IDF has been doing as well:

"An investigation by The New York Times found that Israeli soldiers and intelligence agents, throughout the war in Gaza, have regularly forced captured Palestinians like Mr. Shubeir to conduct life-threatening reconnaissance missions to avoid putting Israeli soldiers at risk on the battlefield".
