You jumped in when I made the comment that it was no laughing matter. War is what it is - doesn't mean you got to joke about loss of civilians lives. We both know how you'd react if people made fun of dead Americans during 9/11 Netanyahu is about to get the regional war he's been craving - when the other side starts dying, he best own up to it
I absolutely get to joke about dead and wounded Hezbollah members, because it's funny as hell that they got their bits and pieces blown off by 1990's-era technology.
I was specific with regards to innocent civilians not armed groups engaged in a conflict but it's ok - some people needs to get shit explained to them a few times... you'll get there eventually
Oh right, the US is so busy trying to censor everything going against its narrative that you probably didn't see the images of kid's legs snapped in half. It's news to me that the entire population of Lebanon are Hezbollah.
It's interesting that you weren't this upset by the dead Israeli kids hit by Hezbollah rockets while playing soccer. I guess your outrage is just as selective as anyone else's. Of course, the difference between Hezbollah's rockets and this Israeli attack is that Hezbollah's rockets aren't specifically aimed at military or government targets.
The fact that you did just means 1) you went looking for them and 2) you have, some rather ghoulish traits you might want to think twice about putting on display.
Or, alternatively, because it's all over Twitter. As is the walkie talkies exploding in the middle of the funeral of one of the children killed during yesterday's attacks.

As a side note, this latest operation coincides (for obvious reasons) with Israel's (now explicit) goal of returning 70K+ residents of Northern Israel to their homes. Up until last week, this wasn't something on the agenda of the war cabinet (not saying it wasn't discussed, but it wasn't a stated outcome). Whether this works and Hezbollah stops with its rocket/drone attacks or not remains to be seen.
How many innocent civilians have been injured by the exploding pagers? Note this isn’t an attempt at a gotcha, I just haven’t heard anything about that and am genuinely curious.
I doubt we will get accurate reporting, but it's more than an zero, which of course, is unfortunate and tragic. Yet, given the scale of this operation, I think it's as safe as it can possibly be.
Umm, this sort of operation is prohibited by Amendment II of the restriction on the use of Certain Conventional Weapons, which governs the use of booby trapped devices. This is a treaty that Israel has signed.
IIRC the civilian dead is 1-2 so far, though two dozen or so are claimed to be among the injured. That's tragic, especially the girl. Then again, two dead and, let's assume, 40-50 injured civilians (which may be far more than the absolute maximum) in an operation that takes out over a thousand militant officers - I repeat, officers not fighters - is about as surgical as a military operation can get. Which begs the question from the condemners out there, including top UN officials, how many far less precise operations have you condemned and which have you condemned as loudly?
And the 12 Israeli kids playing soccer in their schoolyard, in the Golan Heights, killed by a Hezbollah rocket? Is that not prohibited? All these Iranian backed militias deserve what they get, every bit as much as Hamas terrorists and all these other warriors who are happily doing Iran's biddng. Quite frankly these James Bond style attacks on terrorist combatants seem about as targeted as you can get. I'm trying not to find humor in it but at the same time fvck Hezbollah.
A very low percentage, likely. I've seen videos of some of the pagers exploding, and you have to have been very close to them to get injured.
BTW why do so many people - not just you and certainly not just here - use the term "innocent civilians". Aren't civilians, by definition, innocent?
Putting aside all the gloating/memes coming out of these tactical victories/operations from Israel, all signs points to an Israeli ground invasion into south Lebanon. Does anyone here actually care what an catastrophe a conflict would spell, not just for Lebanese, but even for Israelis? Notwithstanding recent events, Hezbollah is at least 10 times more potent than in 2006 and before that when Israel withdrew from Lebanon in early 2000s (after having occupied it for 15 years). Its tunnel network is profoundly more advanced than Hamas. It has an ideological/religious pool and base in the Lebanese Shiites in Southern Lebanon (which have historically been opressed and come from poor areas), from which Hezbollah would have no problem recruting and training more fighters. If Israel is to achieve its stated goals, its going to come at an unfathomable cost and be stuck in the mud in a forever war, with no end in sight, and no guarantees they could achieve their stated objectives.
That depends on who they are, doesn't it? A civilian is just someone who is not a member of the armed forces. Certain Hezbollah officials may technically be civilians, but they certainly aren't innocent.
