Insane red card for Walsh - after a foul he wasn't involved in, just goes up and decks a Coventry player during the dead ball, getting a red card and evening this up at 10 v 10. Fans hating it, but Liam Walsh just goes over and decks someone with play stopped, not obviously provoked. No one else seemed interested in a rumble in any way.
90th minute goal by Luton puts Coventry's playoff hopes seriously at risk. Millwall and Middlesbrough on their pitches now trying to make this super-tight for the final matchday.
Wright and Morris both start on decision day in the Championship. Coventy make the playoff with a win or a tie and some luck; Boro need a win plus some luck from at least two of Bristol/PNE, Burnley/Millwall, and Blackburn / Sheffield United
Coventry strong early - just had a big sequence where Wright's rolled ball into the middle found Simms, who was denied by a very good shot block; after a rebound to the right, a cross was played to Haji at the back post, where he couldn't quite adjust to the deflection and mishits it high and wide.
Live updates from elsewhere - Millwall score and Coventry drop to seventh, Burnley score and Coventry are back to sixth. Crowd will be seasick soon enough.
Rudoni heads home a Sakamoto cross for 1-0 and to move Coventry into fifth in the live table. Four Coventry players made the run to the six yard line to try to put home that cross - that's some hungry play.
Wright starts the home leg of the promotion semifinal against Sunderland, who haven't been strong lately.
Sunderland's first shot on goal, and Isidore's blast is deflected by the keeper but not enough to keep it out. Maybe that will wake up Coventry.
Truly awful backpass by Coventry's right back serves as a perfect lead ball to Mayenda for a 1 v 1 with the keeper. Mayenda rounds the keeper and plays it into the empty net before the defense can recover. 2-1 Sunderland and that will be the one they remember if Coventry do not advance.
That's one of the worst giveaway's I've ever seen. Haji just jogged around most of the match like it was a meaningless international friendly.
Haji with the start in the second leg against Sunderland. Missed the beginning but Coventry do seem to have the balance of play.
Here we go - cross in from the right - Haji leaps for but can't reach, but it falls to Mason-Clark to one-touch it inside the post! 1-0 / 2-2 ... game on!
Oof. Haji could have won it with the last touch of regulation, but he got his header all kinds of wrong. Extra time awaits.
Potential matchwinner for Haji - header from eight yards out - and he puts it well wide, rather awkwardly. Extra time incoming.
"Wow, Coventry should probably have won it! Tatsuhiro Sakamoto swings in an excellent cross but Haji Wright makes a mess of it and heads wide from six yards out." "That was the one. It's not an easy chance, it's behind him a bit. He's got there first, he's just not been able to direct it on target."
This is how I feel after watching the replay a few times. You can still fault him for not reading the cross correctly, but it was a tougher chance to get on target than it looked on first glance
oh wow, tragic way to loose. LAst touch of the game, it's a Sunderland corner, and it goes in off the crossbar. Tie over at 3-2. edit: replays show that the shooter had to scoop his head UNDER the ball to make contact, which gave it the spin it needed to go IN off the bar and not out. Really really lucky shot.
