Haji Wright at Antalyaspor all games PBP

I guess I'll make a thread. He's playing against Fenerbahce now.

So far Antalya looks OK, but they are a bit slow to make decisions with the ball. Fener is pressing them well too. Clearly the superior team.

 

Haji just tried to kick the ball past a defender on a fast break but it ricocheted off the defender instead.

 

Former Bundesliga mainstay Nuri Sahin is on Antalyaspor.

 

Antalya had a counter but they were too slow to release any of the forwards so the attack gets bogged down in midfield.

 

Fener goal called off for a foul. The goal was scored off a terrible turnover by the keeper trying to play it out of the back.

 

Haji is being pummeled by the Fener CBs. Not a lot of calls going his way.

 

Haji chasing a through ball on the wing but he's called for offside. It was pretty close in my opinion.

 

Halftime 0-0. Antalyaspor has almost nothing going on offensively but defending resolutely against Fenerbahce.

 

Still 0-0. Oezil and Enner Valencia come in for Fenerbahce.

 

Antalyaspor actually managed a nice attack but Sahin ends up shooting right at the keeper. Still 0-0.

 

Antalya's keeper has saved them a couple of times.

 

Haji up to try to get on a cross but it's way overhit. In the ensuing scrum he seems a bit passive but it may just be in comparison to his teammates, who are frantically trying to get on any loose ball and slam it into the net.

Fener scores at the other end.

 

88th minute winner. The keeper was screened on the shot after a pretty good performance otherwise.

 

Haji had a nice shot off a corner in stoppage time. His teammate gets on the rebound and it comes off a defender's arm, but it's not called.

Fener goes down the other end, Oezil to Valencia for the 2-0.

 

Ended 2-0, very disappointing for Antalya as I feel they did enough to get the draw.
