What? You don't even mention that John Thorrington is at Huddersfield? When is he coming back from injury BTW.
You got a point. It has been so long since JT even saw the bench that I forgot to include him. Ever couple of days, I look to see if there is some news about him but I have not seen anything yet. Buff might know more. Btw, this is a 3 pm EST kick off.
I wonder when JT's current contract is up. I can't see Town wanting to re-sign him with all the injury problemos he's had over his Town career.
Marcus starts ...JT no where to be found. I am listening to this one so I can chime in with some commentary as we go.
About 12 minutes in, not much to speak of for Marcus so far. 0-0. Town appears to be playing a 3-5-2.
That makes sense, against a bigger club. They can drop back into a 5-3-2 when they don't have the ball.
Goater header grazes the post. Forster header ... GOAL!!!! WIth less then ten minutes left, Reading go up, 1-0.
Corner to Town, cleared away by the Reading defense. Town going to throw everyone up to get an equalizer. Reading content to spread the ball around and eat up some time. Yet, lost the ball to Town. Forster and Goater break ... desperate lunge by a Town defender kills the break.
Corner to Reading, four minutes remaing... deep for Sidwell ... smashes it way over the crossbar. No trouble for Gray. Goalkick Town. Town break into a 3 v 3 but Reading contain the challenge. Goater gets through but Gray makes a save to deny him. Reading beginning to show their class
Last two minutes plus injury time. Marcus plays a long ball. Reading awarded a free kick. Marcus plays it long. Nothing really comes of it. Two minutes of stoppage till last 16 of the League Cup for Reading.
Just watched the highlights, and the only real opportunity town had was an almost, and came as a gift from MH. HArd shot, straight at him, he fumbled it out in front of himself and someone I didn't catch, cleared it out for a corner about six inches in front of an attackers boot. MH looked nervous. On radio, they keep talking about his confidence. hope he gets it back. and soon. The next round is a murderous match.
