This one really hurts especially after playing such a good first half but still losing due to some questionable calls which gifted France two goals as in open play they were out played pretty badly. Second half Croatia started well again but France are so dangerous on the counter and they punished us in the end. Proud of th boys how they fought and played but man this one is going to hurt for a very long time.

Dembele was an unused sub. Shows two things. France has insane depth with young talent. Also how far Dembele is from his BVB time currently while Mbappe has surged forward to make a claim to be top 5 attacking player already. I'd personally say he's 4th behind a fit Neymar we saw against RM. It's just that Mbappe is the third scoring option at PSG.

 

You're annoyed cause you lost and it's understandable but you can't explain that atrocious defending by Croatia in second half in which they basically lost the game within 10 minutes.

You were gifted the goal by Lloris Karius. So the only real opportunity you created was the one by Perisic in first half. The way I see, France created more chances and converted too. So take away the dubious foul that led to FK, take away the pen, and still you're left with France as winners.

It was not a foul on Griezmann and it's a slight offside by Pogba, while the handball is obviously a 50-50 decision and perhaps those should not be given in the final. On the other hand, the first goal is an own goal which should have been an easy clearance. The second goal is predated with an unnecessary corner by Vida who wanted to give the ball back to the keeper in a difficult position. Again, instead of clearing a poor corner kick, the ball hits Perisic in the arm who is lowering his hand just as the ball is arriving, making the referee's job very difficult, especially considering the fact that he knows that the whole world is watching the same situation in which there was a clear connection of the hand with the ball.

 

It’s almost a replay of France vs Argentina. When they smell blood they finish off the opponent.
