I can't believe Junior only has him on loan. Junior should be smarter and invest in players like him.
Dept cali would be retarded to have let him leave right after the WC he had. They were smart he raised his value with Junior now they will sell him. Dept Cali has good relations in Italy it seems and a team other than Udi want him
Still he has 6 more months left with Junior. There might be option to buy so who knows if perhaps Junior can come out as winner.
Al Porto. Este man nos puede dar unas opciones interesantes en un futuro. Apenas tiene 20 años. http://www.caracol.com.co/noticias/...jugador-del-oporto/20120831/nota/1753888.aspx
Yeah, it's confirmed. Kind of remember this kid from the U-20 championship. Similar to Armero, right? Better going forward, weaker defensively. Or am I misremembering?
Yep, that's him. I think that most of his defensive problems are due to his physical weakness, he's kind of thin, compared to other players.
This is fantastic news. The more Colombians at Porto the better. Maybe Arias can go from Sporting to Porto too.
Igual gracias por todo Hector Quiño, gracias por sudar y respetar la camiseta de papa. Lo mejor para este joven en el Porto.
Yeah, I remember him, thanks. Has he been injured this year? Or just a sub? He hasn't played many games, has he? I'd pass. Sure he's still very young, but I've never been impressed with him.
He was a starter last semester and also this one but he got injured and since then he stopped playing.
Yeah, he was on out tv channel the other day and said he's fully recovered. Sounded like a cool guy, looking forward to see him play.
Nope. Unless Alex Sandro gets injured, I suspect he'll mostly play in the Cups games. He's going to play for the B team tomorrow.
You can watch his first game here: http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/141607/1/watch-fc-porto-b-vs-os-belenenses-lisbon.html
Played well. He never practiced with this team so there wasn't much in terms of offensive combinations, but he never had any problems defensively and was clearly one of the best players on the pitch. Kind of expected, he was more expensive and has more experience at this level than all the other guys put together. It's ridiculous how immature and raw our youth teams originated players look when compared to guys we buy somewhere else even when they're the same age. Anyway, this is a good way for him to log some competition minutes.
IIRC, he cost $1.6 million for 90% of his transfer rights. Relatively cheap investment, it's just we didn't pay more than nominal fees for anyone else in this team. Sure, every Portuguese guy we have on this team roster plays or played for the U20 national team. From the team that was in the 11 WC in Colombia, at least 6 or 7 guys were from our teams: Maia, Caetano, Alex, Dias, Sergio Oliveira, some other guy I'm forgetting. Only one is still under contract with us, the others just didn't show anything at the pro level. We actually have been dominating the U-17 national tournament. We still do well at the U-19 one. Then they just stop progressing. Even in this team, disregarding Quiñones and Abdoulaye who played today but are A-team roster players, the best players have been the keeper (serbian, arrived this year), the DM (nigerian, arrived last year for our u-19 team), a striker (French, arrived last year for our u-19 team), the other striker (Brazilian, arrived this year ). The only youth teams players in the main team roster are Atsu (arrived as a 17 or 18 year old), Abdoulaye (same) and Castro (the only one who's a real product from our youth team.... but he's just in the roster to add depth). So you get the idea. We're good at developing players... who arrive aged around 18 or older. It's weird, we used to be pretty good developing young players till 10 years ago or so. Just 20 years ago, 80% of the National Team was composed with players we developed. Our team that won the champions in 87 was filled with players from our youth teams. We now have state of art academies and we import technical coaches from Holland and have football schools all over the place and we only produce crap - guys who are very good and then just fold when things get tough.
