Finally it’s official and Herrera earned this. Hopefully now he can fight and get a starting spot. Haven’t been following athletico too close but it seems like they are losing a lot of players.
But they signed three others just today, one of them being HH. Their fans seem to be pretty happy with their transfer business so far this summer.
I saw that article, too, where an Atletico's executive was stating that HH's signing was an opportunity to showcase "Atletico's brand name in Mexico". They know that signing a Mexican player means an instant increase in millions of followers in Mexico and the US, and shirt sales. It's a relatively risk-free transfer for them, since they didn't have to spend a dime in transfer indemnities. That's a redo of what happened with Chicharito at Real Madrid a few years ago. I can see him getting some play time with Atletico, but being an undisputed starter is another story.

Going to be a great signing for them he has an incredible engine and is known for his stamina not only that but for someone who plays central midfield he has a very good dribbling and a very good amount of pace overall he’s probably one of the most well-rounded football players out there Also I’m pretty sure they’re going to sell Saul or Koke I don’t see them selling both as that would be crazy on their part but they definitely might sell one of them especially if you consider the clubs that are the parties that are interested that have a lot of cash but even if they keep him I’m pretty sure they’re going to use Hector Herrera as a CM with Thomas being the anchor
Not only that but I don’t know if you guys knew Hector Herrera is actually a Portuguese citizen now No he won’t count as a foreign player
