I found this interesting. No mention or Bradenton or Vancouver. So which single club gets credit for 'developing' him? Previous clubs: Bethesda Roadrunners FC Delco
His dad/Bethesda. Not sure when he played for Delco, but I would assume it was pretty minimal. At least 6-8 years at Bethesda.
Congrats to Gyau! Many good things to come, we hope! I don't follow the minutia of Hoffenheim, but by a quick survey it looks like a couple of other youth players also might've gotten bumped up to the first team this winter break (a couple of 1992 and 93 kids with 0 first team minutes, so I'm just guessing).
Looks like Ibisevic going to Stuttgart, if that has any effect http://www.cnnsi.com/2012/soccer/01/25/ibisevic.stuttgart/index.html?sct=sc_t2_a3
Wow, you are right he's not there anymore. You would think that after losing an attacker to a transfer Gyau would at least have a better shot at the bench. I hope he makes the bench the next game
Why would they stick with him? I mean he couldn't even get into the game last time. Obviously he's got no hope of staying with the first team if he can't even get on the field when given the opportunity.
Obviously they just removed him from the team page because Barcelona will be buying him for $50 million to come in and compete with Brek Shea for a starting position.
I was just commenting on the fact that his profile has been removed from that website of players with the first team, whether or not that means anything (I see Ibisevic has been removed now) I have no idea...
Stanislawski said that Gyau, like all those training with the first team, is eligible for selection for Bundesliga games. I'm not sure what else "on the first team" means
Instead of practicing with the 23's and getting pulled up, you practice with the first team all the time.
Awesome. As someone who saw his dad play in APSL games at a local HS, it's pretty cool to think of the younger Gyau debuting in front of 80K!
