Id love to see Guzan go out on loan in january if possible, or if Friedel is the starting keeper again next year.

Tottenham certainly have a precarious keeper situation. Theyre eyeing Hennessey right now whose a good keeper in his own right. QPR are looking for a keeper on loan. Those are the big candidates for me.

Im sure he opened some eyes today that may have been a bit more naive of his skill before.

Guzan's going to be a monster before it's all said and done.

Plus he's a lefty, which makes him that much cooler. :)

That's probably why Villa started him. Slavia scouted their opposition but they trotted out a lineup to face a righthanded starter...

don't mean to sidetrack things, great peformance by Brad, but .... what is his problem with time wasting?? I know it's a (regrettable) part of the game and all, and perhaps nursing a 1-0 away lead is the most "acceptable" time to draw a caution for milking clock. But Brad seems to be the worst offender I've seen. Has this been discussed at all?

I remember the first time I noticed this was at one of the winter camp games against a Scandinavian team (his first cap?) .... it's a freaking B friendly, with a 3 or 4 goal lead, and he's doing his elaborate act of wasting time on goal kicks. With 20 minutes to play. No reason for that whatsoever. Never watched him much for Chivas but I saw the same thing against South Africa (meaningless friendly) and the Netherlands (Olympics). Just my opinion that he needs to reel this in a good bit, change his habits.

I was watching this game on TV in the UK on channel 5 and MON said earlier that he played the players that he did because he wanted to test all of his fringe players. Plus he did notice a lot of tiredness midweek against Newcastle apparently.

Guzan was very impressive, he is going to give MON a big head ache on which keeper to start now...He will at least start him in cup games IMO.

He's been doing that for a long time. At least since high school. I don't really have a problem with it, Guzan really wants to win. If he doesn't get a red, and while it's annoying, I can't really argue with it too much if it gets the desired result.

I agree, he does it way too often, and it's painfully obvious nearly every time.

Glad to hear he did so well, sounds like his kind of game with a need for lots of quick reaction saves.

And that Toronto fan mentioned above sounds like a bonehead, probably one of those guys who thinks Greg Sutton's best in the league.

Who doesn't want to win? Anti-sporting EXCESSIVE time wasting by a goalkeeper shouldn't be taught or encouraged at any level.
