I haven't seen this guy mentioned lately in Crew reports? Did he not stick, even as a Developmental Player?

BTW, how manny DP slots to the Crew have left?

Abrahamson has been hurt throughout the spring so he hasn't gotten much training time. It's too bad I really liked his game in college, the few times I saw him. I hope he sticks. As for DP spots, if Lucci Gonzalez signed a development contract, the Crew only have one spot left. DP players

    Akawari D (P40)
    Ritch F (Dev)
    Perea M (Dev)
    Ueltschy GK (Dev)
    Gonzalez F/M (Dev)

From other reports, the Crew are going to send them to A-League teams to get some playing time. Although, I think with the CCC and MLS matches all bunched up together the way they are, they may not go until those 5 games in two weeks are over. I know Ritch is going to Syaracuse and the talk about Lucci was he was going there or Pittsburg. Ueletchey is going to Montreal and I haven't heard where they are sending Perea, but Syaracuse could use him. Akwari is staying in Columbus.

A new MLS Confidential email reported Lucci just signed a deal with a 2nd Division Swedish team.

here we go again... Time to play another round of "Where in the World is (insert former crew player?)"

I got funny money on him ending up in LA.

I didn't hear of that until after I posted the first time. I usually don't trust what I read from the confidential. 9 times out of ten it's not true or at least, it was talked about losely by two interns at the water cooler and the Confidential takes it for fact. This actually is that 10th time though.

So it looks like the Crew let him go from his Dev contract so he could take this opportunity. I mean it is kind of a loose agreement anyway. Good luck to him in Sweden. I guess that leaves the Crew two development slots to work with. Well at least it's going to give 6'3" F Micheal Ritch some good time to develope with the Crew come June/July when everyone else is away on Nat duty. Hell we could see a West and Ritch combo come June/July. Won't that be fun to watch. ;)

With two DP slots open, is there any chance Abrahamson will get one of them.

Like others said, he was a good college player. A defensive midfielder or wide back forced to play centerback. He had nice feet for a defender and seemed to be a smart player. Certainly seems like a player worth keeping around to see how he progresses.

Yo, are you this kids mother or something? Sounds to me like you're trying to sell him and make sure he isn't living at home all summer and eating your food. Besides, telling us about it isn't going to help the kid jack-squat.

Honestly, I don't know much about the kid, but if we're sitting w/ 2 spots open I don't see why we wouldn't hold on to him. If it doesn't pan out or the spot is needed for somebody else we can just waive him.

Keep up the promotions Abramom... you'll get the kid to quit mooching one of these days, I promise.

Now I do NOT intend to make a career of this, but Lucci is apparently headed for Bolens BK.

    They look like NASCAR drivers:

And honestly, while I wish the guy well for sure, this is barely professional soccer.

I mean, if you're going for the babes, sure why not. Good beer too. Otherwise, he oughtta go to Charleston or something.

Bill, you should stop right there. Topping your last thread is, in my opinion, impossible. Don't hang on too long, man, go out with your head held high.

I had the green motorcycle that could turn into a helicopter and I also had the black SUV that had guns coming out of everywhere. I loved that show.

    couple things.....

the Swedish top flight (Allsvenskan) is just semi-pro. Boden are two levels below that.

women in sweden are a million times better than in the states (like that is hard to do?) but the beer in sweden is on the same low as the USA beer. but it is really easy to get decent beer in sweden (that isn't swedish i'm meaning!) while it is hard to in the states.

Boden IS a big step down from Columbus though.
