So I did not see any games of his during this season. They are already promoted to La Liga for next season and will secure the Segunda Division assuming that they don't ******** up this weekend; how would you guys rate this season with 33 appearances with 3 goals and 1 assist? I am curious how he developed as he gradually got to play full matches as the season went on.

 

He's a great player, trained in the premier leagues, and has been a consistent starter at the 2nd division club. With the national team he's performed well, so I have high hopes for him, perhaps even taking minutes away from Castano if possible.

 

From what I have seen he has played well. He is very fortunate that his Manager’s philosophy is very reliant and dependent on DFMs and CMs attacking and creating. He fit that system like a glove.

 

Funny thing is that Hull where he played before just got promoted to EPL!
I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it. They were playing total garbage football while Puerta was there I even though they'd be relegated.
So had he stayed he'd be playing EPL next season. But hopefully they'll sell him or racing does well in la Liga.

Depressing to see that Hull picked themselves up after Puerta leaving just as Girona no did after our guys left.

I wonder what Xabi Alonso has to say, if he's surprised at his progress given that he didn't even get a place at the bench when he first arrived to Leverkusen.

 

To think this kid can play better and get better as the years go by.
