Per this thread about halfway down..... https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=16775&perpage=15&pagenumber=8 And what, Mr. Guppy, does Metro owe us? 1.) I have a ticket representative who will not call me back, messes up my orders when i do get in contact with him, and is rude and belligerent to me in general and his incompetence is appalling. 2.) For seven years, I have been supporting Metro through the purchase of close to 150 tickets, several hundred dollars worth of streamers, drums, etcetera, and I still can't get on the Metro e-mail that I have signed up for now about ten times??? 3.) I have yet to receive my Metro taligating chair or hat which I was supposed to receive as a new MetroMember and one of the first to sign up for the plan. My calls on this go unanswered...... 4.) If in my job, I forgot a major aspect of my day through carelessness and blatant neglect, I'd be fired. Why is OZ still around after failing to include Mathis in the famous lineup incident? 5.) How can you have a team, stockpiled with top talent, and excuse the season? Chicago has battled injuries, KC has been the recepient of some awful calls. New England had a sluggish season, yet they all made the playoffs. I am being serious here Bigfoot, doesn't Metro owe me alot? Ooops, I meant us, I was in my Nick frame of "me-me-me" mindset........
I feel your pain Sweeper...BTW you left your parking cone on the bus a couple weeks ago. I think it's on 28 &7th right now
How about the MetroStars Mouse Pad. I signed up and I never got a response. There was a post about this before, some got the mouse pad, but anyone with the same problem?
I was told I would get one via email and never contacted again. Even though I sent about 15-20 emails trying to get back in touch.
If you believed they were going to e-mail you a mousepad, then you're exactly the kind of sucker they're looking for
I've always wondered about the following: Whether it be about the free mousepad, a Metro chair that was promised, their poor customer service, etc, etc, etc, has anyone on these boards actually e-mailed, mailed a letter, or called Nick S directly? Sending an e-mail to metros.com seems like a waste of time since it's probably being read by some 15 year old intern. Since it's the same problems and issues that keep popping up, wouldn't it make more sense to contact the people "up-top"?
Granted I sent a bunch of emails about the mousepad.. they were all cut and paste... litterally 15sec worth of time. The less I have to deal with the MFO the happier my day is.
Yeah. Remeber the Wed. Crew/Ecuador match, when a couple of hundred fans were left waiting at the PA for buses? Well, I took pictures of the line almost going out and around 42nd at 7:30pm. I put it up on the web and provided the link here and in the e-mail. Nick's reply was a) sorry about this b)this is the reason it is important to support the Harrison stadium project. They did announce the NY Waterways option a few weeks later, so maybe all of the complaints from fans had an impact.
I'll trade you the backpack I got from the Snickers Scratch n' Win game for a game worn Jolley jersey if it will make you feel better. The engraved "Fan of the Game" plate isn't for up for trade or sale, sorry.
Wow! You actually won the scratch n'win? What was your scenario . . . Martin Klinger gets into a game? Tim Howard scores a goal? Jeff Moore scores a header goal off a Clint Mathis free kick in the 12th minute?
I'm also STILL owed some prizes for winning the metros.com 2001 Yahoo MLS Fantasy League over 49 other would be GMs from this site. They're yours for that Jolley jersey though I can see from your record of collecting premiums how you might not want to take up that challenge.
Holy shizzte! How many people does he have to apologize to, Mr. Guppy? The 8,000 or not much more that attend the games? Hell, you need to genuflect, and explain how the hell your leadership led to the big drop in attendance, since you won the Eastern crown! How Leahy had more pull than you, you sap.
Hey Gups, lets avoid the big issues there, ok? Try to spin this into a "Hey, Sweeper caught one jersey in four years of 101" fiasco of a thread. You're incompetent. Children with extra chromsomes can run a front office better then you. Did you personally write Nick's letter to MetroMembers I received in the mail yesterday? That's great, it makes the awful customer service and poor product on the field ok. And its comforting to know that Nick hopes for a stadium announcement shortly.
I got the lettrer too, Nick sounded sincere but the letter is too wordy, makes me feel like that he is trying to find excuses. Now he has to prove quickly how can he make Metrostars fan happy again.
What you call big issues I call personal problems. I swear I don't have your chair or hat, really, I don't, and I won't cop to your lost Metro emails either. I know I have mine that's about all the light I can shed on the subject. Maybe you should consult an attorney or some other professional more qualified to help you.
