1:1996 , Arsene Who ? read the headlines,Well you ********ing know now 2 :Anfield 1989-major turning point for the club-and my Liver 3 :Copenhagen 1994-beat parma to win the cup winners cup,a team containing Zola,Asprilla,Brolin>our midfield contained selley, morrow.no wright. An amazing show of support,an amazing celebration afterwards,we drank Copenhagen dry!! 4: 1919 - St Henry Norris negotiates our return to Division One,still pisses the scum off 5: 2004 - Arsenal stay unbeaten for a record 49 league games-"We Are invincible" So many I could of chosen, but most of the above have helped make us what we are today-CLASS,the others are purely personall
Being born 3 weeks before Thomas goal at Anfield in 89, i can't say i remember it!!! had i been a bit older, im sure it would be in here. However, i became a fan at the age of 6 or 7 so my stuff is pretty recent. Here is my list: 1998 - Win over Everton clinches Wenger's first title - So excited, Adams Goal was a Beaut!! Still remember the parade.... 2004 - The 'Invincibles' clinch the title at White Hart Lane - Great Day, Great Song!! 2002 - Wiltord goal clinches the Double at Old Trafford - Great Night, Great Song!! 2006 - Wigan are beaten 4-2 in Highbury's final fixture - Party Atmosphere, felt like we'd won the league!! Plus it assured the scum weren't in CL 1997 - Wright breaks Bastin's goals record against Bolton - He was my hero in my early days as a fan. It was awesome when he scored his hat trick that day....just wish he hadn't ****** up his celebration!!! Good Times
79 final, just because the memory is so clear, even if the game wasn't very exciting 89 Anfield, just the perfect end to the season. 98 4-0 vs Everton. Just because of Tony Adams '02 Wiltord at Old Trafford, in pub full of ManU fans, me and my mate going ballistic. Great fun!!! 96 Allo Allo to Wenger, the most influential manager in my lifetime
Very hard to pick, but here are some: 1925 - Herbert Chapman is appointed Arsenal manager - He radically changed the club and the sport 1996 - Arsène Wenger is appointed as Arsenal manager - The new Chapman! 1935 - Arsenal clinch their third League title in a row - Something Chelsea wishes their money could have bought. 2004 - The 'Invincibles' clinch the title at White Hart Lane - Unbeaten season and rubbing it in the face of the Scum! 1989 - Last-gasp Thomas strike snatches title at Anfield - Just because it is storeybook.
1971 -- Winning the Double, back when the Double was rare. And my personal highlight, though it won't make it any lists, early spring 1976, we were 2-3 spots ahead of relegation and we thrashed a very fine West Ham team featuring Trevor Brooking and Fat Frank's father 5-1. I don't know why everyone at my base school in England were West Ham fans, but for two years I'd been teased mercilessly, and for a week, I was king of the playground. I will NEVER forget Cory Ellerbee's expression as I walked up to him that Monday morning. On other highlight not on the list, we signed Malcolm MacDonald, then the best striker in England, in August or September of 1976 and we've never been threatened with relegation since.
If they could not think of 50 greatest moments then they should have reduced the overall number instead of adding stupid options. It just seems strange and I was surprised that no-one else had passed comment.
There is more than a couple and I don't overly care, just passing comment. Yes but I am questioning why some are considered great.
Let me help you out here, a lot of Arsenal fans think the C.Ronaldo is a diving twat, a lot of manU fans think he's better than George Best. The difference is down to a very different sense of perspective. Likewise this list. Different people will grade them differently, all are important moments, some are more important than others
Greatest Moments I have seen in my short Gunner life: 1. Wiltord at Old Trafford 2. The whole vibe in Paris, we lost but it was a great moment. 3. Won the league at the lane 4. Won FA Cup over a superior ManU side in 2005 5. Seamon saves the day in FA CUP semi 6. FA Cup Victory over Southhampton, boys really picked it up after throwing away the league 7. Wigan 4-2 8. 1-nil to Arsenal in Madrid 9. 5-1 over Inter at San Siro 10. every other game I have seen
