Funny how it wasn't a big scandal in league 1 like it was in MLS when rafa responded to specific reporter Qs about a clear f-up by his teammate and he was being easy on him. What did the French press say about memo's comments about his team mates? The mex press? Nobody was blowing it out of proportion crying about a teammate getting thrown under the bus? Still, the boys abroad need to learn to say the right things or hire pr firms or spokespeople. This was not well played by memo. Gio doesn't look so great hiring lawyers, but I think at least most fans and observers can under stand Gio s situation. Anyway I hope memo does well and gets some top European club skills and maybe plays the pr game a little better for a good signing & $$$. Another local does well for himself.
Man, there was a huge difference on the way and place they said it. Ochoa wasn't directly thorwing his teammates under the bus, Marquez was. Ochoa said it in an itw in Mexico that wasn't going to reach Ajaccio's dressing room, Marquez did it in the US. And the headline is pure ESPN garbage, he obviously never said he was Ajaccio's saviour.
IMO, he should at his request, help how ever he can to help Ajaccio stay in League 1 if possible & move on to a different team at the end of the season, but I don't see why wouldn't Ajaccio sell him to approvech his good form... Either way... it looks like he won't stay there long...
No Jose de Jesus Corona is #1 in my book. Ochoa shouldn't get a free pass just cos he's in europe now Luis Michel at one point in time was Mexico's best. This was just before the Mexico Nazi camp last year in preparation for the world cup. This fool was ON POINT. Leading up to that nazi camp he was in the best form out of any other Mexican goalkeeper at the time. Then aguirre screwed everyone over by choosing his butt buddy. I'd take anyone over Ochoa though. He's mediocre at best.
