Connor Senn Game is Wednesday at 7:00p at Jesse Owens Stadium. Great kid, and a great cause.

Anyone think whether Guille might get some time to try and get his legs back? It is my understanding that he has been training daily, but has actually played very little.

    Any ideas?

I was wondering this myself. I'm planning on going either way, but I would be pleasently surprised

That would be a classic headline: Argentine Superstar Tears ACL during Meaningless Match!

(Just for clarification, I don't think the idea behind the match is meaningless.)

As often happens with media, the headline would miss the point. If playing in this match can help get him ready (or anyone else for that matter) to help us play in a meaningful game on SAT, then he should play.

I'd think some acclimation to his new teammates on the pitch, in a "real" game (as opposed to practice) would be to everyone's benefit.

Plus, I'd selfishly like to see it. :)

Can I ask how many from 103 and 137 plan on going to this match? This might be our chance to corrdinate our efforts. After all it's neutral ground, no sections here, we can all stand together and sing in JOMS.

Let's find a section in the stadium and sing together for a change.

I won't be there, but at past games at Jesse Owens, we've filled up section 103, which is near the south end, near the main entrance.

Damn, didn't take Migs any time at all to get his green card. That's good news though, as if we're supposedly going to be bringing in another big international signing for our DP slot, then we just made it easier. All we have to do is find another person to either cut of move to the DR.

I don't really see any reason to play Guille in this game. I'm sure he can wave at the fans though or go sit in 103. That would be cool. But, really is it that big of a deal if we beat Ohio State?

Making room for Palermo in the summer.

It would be a shock of monumental proportions to see him trot out there, but you could say that having him run around in a scrimmage with his new teammates for fifteen or twenty minutes isn't all THAT bad an idea.

And it's not like he isn't in shape or something.

The injury thing really isn't an issue: teams play scrimmages, occasionally guys get hurt but that's not a reason to not play.

The biggest downside might be that if Guille was to play you'd want him out there working with the regulars, and this is a game I would think they'd run out the bench for.. You gotta figure Sigi isn't going to send his A side out there, although there's no reason for Herron not to play I suppose.

The game is played with unlimited subs (and re-entry for OSU). Pretty much everyone plays. Usually the Crew will play the first team for a half, then backups in the second half. A couple of times the Crew played mix and match between starters and subs for each half.

So can we pretty much expect to see everyone play? or will the crew rest some people?

Just got back from the game, pretty decent game....1st half we had our usual starters and kept the score 0-0, 2nd half was a lot like the open cup had most of our benchers playing, which included Mike Lapper, and a new keeper Schoen (sp) OSU got a goal in the middle of the second half and we couldn't equalize....record setting attendance at the Conner game with a little over 2000 and record setting fund raising with I believe is 20,000, correct me if I'm wrong...

If he was he was in the press box but I seriously doubt he was there after his 17 hour flight

That match was so bad I am glad that Guille didn't play. I hope he didn't even see it.

Who was the guy wearing #13 on the bench? He never played, and had some trainer shoes on.

Some dude they pulled off the street to replace Szetela the Chav.
He was really needed after some of Danny's shots landed in the baseball stadium and were interfering with their match.
