Honduran newspaper La Tribuna claims it is a possibility that Guevara will sign with Dallas. Anyone hear more on this? (look towards the end of the article for Guevara news) http://www.latribuna.hn/news/48/ARTICLE/8727/2007-05-08.html
pretty funny. i had never heard someone make the clever link between Amado and Che/Ernesto. very clever and original. haha. not sure what is up with the link though, it was working earlier.
I am sure you know that legend has it Castro was supposed to be a really good baseball player in his younger days. Of course, finding evidence of that is another story.
Ruiz is in Honduras talking up the team and reassuring Guevara that he doesn't need to learn English to play for Dallas.
Maybe they are bringing him in to replace our worthless team doctor that can't diagnose an injury worth a damn. But then again, Che might just shoot somebody in the head if they twist an ankle.
Not to mention that Kim Jong-Il is an amazing golfer. Something like 900 career holes-in-one. Eat it, Tiger!
loose translation if anyone is interested: Controversy on whether or not the Honduran National Team Coach ,Rueda, will call up Guevara for an upcoming friendly vrs. Venezuela since he has a past policy of not convocating players not currently playing on teams. (The team is currently preparing for the Gold Cup.) However Guevarra reportedly has opportunities to continue playing in the United States with Dallas, although nothing has been agreed to as of yet. Rueda, the National Team Coach said that he will wait to see what develops before he reaches a decision.
Doing a little more researching on Guevarra, La Prensa reports that as we all know, he had a falling out with Preki. But, that was not the first time he had similar problems. He said he could not comment on his situation, but likened it to a similar episode in which he played in Mexico's 2nd division team Zacatepec and was "separated from the team". However, his former club team Motagua still loves him and would take him back in a heartbeat.
