Toja's back, tell a friend. Though I'm pretty sure we won't get him, since we're pretty low in the allocation pecking order. And after the way he Cadillac'd his way through the end of his time to force a transfer, I'm not sure I want him.
You know that feeling you get when you see an ex, one that broke up with you and you still have feelings for, for the first time in a long time. I just got that feeling.
He'd fit in great at Jacobson's spot and with the Colombian contingent. Now that he's done Europe he may like it here better than before.
Exactly, you see her, she is still hot...and you start to forget she was bat shit crazy for a min...then you recall all the crap she put you through. He was my favorite player for a short time, but when he went on the effort strike I lost all respect for him, so F that guy.
If he still has it, there's no reason why we shouldn't want him. I wish we had EJ back, he is killing it up in Seattle.
Right. He mailed it in and the league should bring that to his attention, not just Dallas. He is one hell of a holding midfielder, but he can easily get pulled out of his positional assignment because he plays on instinct. He's somewhat helpful on offense but really doesn't have the creativity we expected from his first year. Teams didn't know what to expect of him at first, and he was given more latitude on the pitch. Once he became a target, his contribution diminished tremendously. Also, he is one of the most one-footed players you will ever see. He literally dribbles "around the Horn" sometimes when he should be using his weaker foot. He's like "Zoolander" who can't walk down a runway and turn left. Yes, he has his strong points, but my moment of passion for his play has long gone, and on balance, I say we pass on him altogether.
The tactic was sorry but he's cool in my book. Eddie Johnson is the only guy I would hate to see back in Dallas. Fish is almost there but he could win me over with 20 goals.
Rangy holding midfielder on the right side of 30 who has still delivered the smoothest slide tackles I've ever seen in MLS? I'll forgive and forget if he ends up here. It's up to bus coach to decide if he can work with the guy. Wouldn't be surprised if Colorado finds a way to get him.
Pablo Ricchetti used to be just as good at that. I don't want Toja back, but on the other hand, what we did to Pablo is criminal in my book. He was shown no respect whatsoever.
Juan Carlos Toja is back in MLS http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ar-toja-signs-mls-deal-be-assigned-allocation. The New England REV has the first choice, however I dont see Toja with the REVS. I cant picture Toja playing in a huge NFL stadium most of the time without feeling uncomfortable. Toja belongs to FC Dallas and nothing else. My team NY Red Bulls has the last option to Toja, so I dont think its a possibility at this point. We fans of MLs were used to see Toja with Dallas and we remember how different FC Dallas was with Toja there. If Toja joins Dallas, the team will look like a Colombian club or Colombian national team. Welcome back to one of the most popular and fan-favorite players of all time Juan Carlos Toja.
I would like to see him back, slide him in the midfield with DF10 and JdG/AJ..would be nice. Although, I do not see him getting to us giving our spot in the allocation order.
The Revs are already receiving offers, so they'll take him. It's just a matter of do they want to sign him or trade him. He'll probably command a pretty high salary, so I doubt FCD could even fit him under the cap right now.
Juan Toja's option was declined for the upcoming season for the Revolution. http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/new...ns-11-players-2014-roster-currently-stands-15 He made almost $300,000 this past season for the revs In an up and down season for them, so I think it's almost certain he'll be available in the second part of the re-entry draft Is this still a move you'd hope we could make a year later, barring a salary reduction? Darius Barnes and Tyler Polak also intrigue me here on this list.
