But still that's slightly better than the #1 who doesn't watch/read anything.

FYI he has "flip-flopped" on this issue and states now that he and Laura read the paper in bed together in the morning. I'm guessing he takes the comics first :D

Hey, If I was VP or Prez, I would hopefully have the best access to world news - without ever turning on the TV. But watching a half hour or so, or listening to the radio would be a good backup to make sure the people personally reporting to me are doing a good job. And I could ask them questions when they report to me.

But I would not look to Fox news for accuracy. Heck, Fox basically just repeats the party line out of the white house anyway, so watching fox news would be terribly repititous. Cheney or Bush watching Fox news would be like the premiers of the USSR reading Pravda everyday, because it's "accurate".

Unless that's the point. He watches fox news to make sure they're following the White House spin on the issues of the day? Cuz once the white house loses control of the fox news agenda/perspective, then the administration has lost their re-election bid.

So yes, I am thinking before I write. What you may not see is an application of deeper thought focused on what's underneath the surface of the news. Try it some time.

See, this is one of the biggest problems with this adminstration. They not only bullcaca everyone else, they can't help bullcrapping themselves.

They're able to bullcaca themselves becasue they only listen to what they want to hear. They don't have the balls to get an objective view of things. So they do dumb things like waste the country's international goodwill and credibility to get us into a no-win tarbaby because they believed we'd be welcomed with roses. They believed we'd be welcomed with roses because that's what they WANTED to believe and they ignored anyone who would give them a more realistic view.

It's one thing to know what is going on but to bullcrap others about it. It's another thing to start believing your own PR and then acting solely to the voices in your own head. Believing your own PR is literally madness which explains a lot about why the Bushies have had sexual intercourse with the pooch regarding so many things.

Your point was that I don't have as good perspective on what's really happenin as the VP does? I don't deny that he has access to better info than I could dream of. I hope he uses that access well. I just wonder why he watches a notoriously inaccurate channel of half-news, half-political spin.

Because that channel repeats the same half-truths and political spin his administration puts out, giving his views some legitamacy since they package their BS as news.
