Bruce Murray? The year was 1986 and Murray scored the only goal of the year in a 1-1 draw with Uruguay in Miami.
Right again, Mario. Here's a bio I found of him: http://www.yanksformillwall.com/bruce_murray.html I liked this story: dred - enough with that coyness. Out with it, I say!
I understand your point, but Hawaii is an actual state of the US, not a territory. Martinique is still a territory of France, or a "possession" and very geographically remote from France. I understand Hawaii is distant from the mainland. Hawaii is straight west of Mexico, which is also in N.A. (duh), out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Anyway, it's an arbitrary decision, and I don't know how Hawaii is officially classified, but I won't lose sleep over it either way.
Wow, I didn't think anybody knew about Yanks for Millwall. I think Murray played for more than one year for the Nats.
Alright, here's a new one. I'm from that soccer hotbed St. Louis. I played for the US at many levels, but experienced my greatest soccer success at the amatuer level - helping my team to capture an Open Cup title. In my international appearances, I averaged almost a goal a game.
Let's start with an easy one.... I have played in Europe. I've played in MLS. I've played in the A league. I played in college. And I've played for the USMNT. Despite playing numerous games for the USMNT, I have never registered a goal or an assist. Who am I?
No, I am Adlai Stevenson, my brother is Bill Dailey, and I was on trial with the Chicago 7. When I am not busy with the trial, I live in Naperville, where everyone is white.
No more guesses? I would have guessed that Nancy "Big Trivia" B. would have gotten this by now. By the way, Nancy, thanks for starting this thread. It's been a fun distraction from work Hint: I am not a goalkeeper.
I was born to immigrant parents and grew up in America. I played professionally in England. I played for US youth teams but never played for the full USMNT.
